from Green Bay Press-Gazette:

"Jacobus said he thinks the move by the national church is an indication of where the Episcopal Church is heading in terms of same-sex relationships, but he questioned whether approving the liturgy is the right step.

"'I have some particular concerns. I believe that this is a direction the Episcopal Church is going and no matter where people stand on the issue, the church is probably not going to turn back on the issue,' he said.'What I have heard partnered gay and lesbian couples say they would prefer is a marriage liturgy ... It looks very similar to a marriage'".

Counterfeit money also looks similar to the real thing, but it isn't, and that's the real danger.

LOL!!!....

Yes, that's the problem, isn't it, Joe?

For centuries the various denominations, including the RCC and the Anglicans, have defended their firmly ensconced institutional hypocrisies and bigotries. Racial segregation and inequality. Chauvinism and patristic discrimination. In the case of the Roman Church, institutionalized pederasty. The teaching of guilt and condemnation to homosexuals. The Church is full of it.

All of it Counterfeit Christianity.

And now, along comes The Episcopal Church and the Lutherans and Methodists and some others who are actually standing in Light, with the help of the divinely inspired American Constitution, and we freely admit the hypocrisy, discrimination, segregation and malformed guilt, hatred and arrogant condemnation that we have all previously sanctified.

Now we actually begin to actively seek to follow in discipleship and Teaching of Christ Jesus and what do we get for it?

The very abuse that Jesus warned that we WOULD get for following Him.

So let it be done!

Spell it however you like. LOL!!!.....

It is Not the Episcopalians who are trying to blame the homosexuals for all of their problems!

It is the pope and his Magisterium!

Good luck with that. Before they are through, they'll manage to dispose of about half of their "celibate" priesthood and diaconate while driving about half of the remainder back into the closet.

And they still won't be able to weed out the pederasts.

In the meantime, we'll be stepping into the Light, Life and Love of Christ... and we will not be looking back, wishing that things were the way they USED to be!

No, in contrast to the ill-conceived circling of the wagons in a vain attempt to cover up and preserve the institutionalized bigotry and hypocrisy.

You would have people believe that they are losing by actually following the Teachings of Christ Jesus. Sorry, but that kind of misdirection no longer holds sway.

You would also have people believe that it is better to hide your sins and cover up your hypocrisy, rather than get to the root of the problem.

Well,.... OK. Jesus said let the tares grow and to weed them out at harvest time. It is harvest time, buddy. TEC is weeding the hypocrites and the bigots out.

The RCC, in stark contrast, is preserving and defending the indefensible while creating scapegoats out of the homosexual priests that it has both fostered within an internal culture and permitted behind its closed doors.

Ask any Roman Catholic parishioner. They know that many of their "celibate" priests are closet homosexuals. They also know that these good people are not the real problem.

The real problem is the persistent hiding of the pedophiles and the continued attack on the homosexuals instead, in a misguided effort at stemming the tide of ill will that they themselves have created.

Meanwhile, the hierarchy of the RCC continues to invite Anglican priests who are already married to come into the RCC. They figure that, over time, the lay RCCers will finally begin to accept the non-celibate priests.

LOL!!!.....

Well, Duh!.... Of Course, they will! Marriage among clergy is perfectly acceptable. It always has been perfectly acceptable, even preferred if we are to take at least some of what St. Paul is reported to have written and said to heart.

In fact, the RCC ought to be sending their homosexual priests out in pairs, to The Episcopal Church, on sabbatical.

We will marry them, let them establish themselves serving as married ministers, and then send them back as legitimate clergy living lives of integrity in discipleship to Jesus. That is, if they want to go back, which in all honesty they probably would. And we would welcome that choice.

This vis a reasonable soluton to the problem, instead of continued living without personal integrity in a forced state of denial, covered lies and furtive sexual dalliance behind the curtains of the sacristy. Plus, this would virtually eliminate propagation of the culture of pedophilism.

You laugh. But, this solution would work.
So let it be done.

In the Name of Christ Jesus.

Homofascists try to misdefine pedophile. In reality, there was very little pedophilia in the priest abuse scandal. It was overwhelmingly homosexual molestation of minor young men. Pedophilia involves children before the age of puberty.

The priest abuse scandal was a homosexual scandal.

LOL!!!....

Malarky.

A pedophile is a pedophile, whether preying upon boys or girls or both.

You try to make a "legal" distinction.

But, the problem is not of legal origin. And, it is way deeper than merely a sexual encounter.

It has to do with with an obsessively selfish enjoyment taken from the intentional wreckage of innocence and the subsequent misdirection of another's soul.

A person who overwhelms a child in this manner is a monster.

Yes. Of course.

But, a person's sexual preference for same-sex relationship - homosexuality - or for opposite sex relationship - heterosexuality -
has nothing to do, per se, with the desire to control and to crush and corrupt the innocence of a child and to misdirect the life and soul of a child for the selfish satisfaction of craving and personal pleasure.

THAT, my friend, is what the pedophile does, whether as a heterosexual or a homosexual.

You have a problem with pedophiles in your Church? So do I.

May 18, 2011, Washington, DCA landmark study by researchers at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York, which examined the causes and context of the clergy sexual abuse crisis in the U.S. Catholic Church, concluded that there was no single cause or predictor of sexual abuse by Catholic clergy. The report added that that situational factors and opportunity to abuse played a significant role in the onset and continuation of abusive acts.

Well,.... OK. I can believe that.

Now let's look at the statistic that you have NOT put forth, because this is just as important and germaine to the conversation as the statistic that you have cited.

Weren't all the victims legally minors to rule out any possibility of consensual sex?
