Pastor rejects gay musicians from Minnesota Catholic Church

There are 39 comments on the Post-Bulletin story from Jan 8, 2018, titled Pastor rejects gay musicians from Minnesota Catholic Church. In it, Post-Bulletin reports that:

Members of a rural Catholic parish in eastern Minnesota are at odds over the dismissal of three gay men from a church musical ensemble after the new pastor learned they are in same-sex marriages. The Pioneer Press reports that Bob Bernard, one of the dismissed men, said he has no plans to leave the church and that none of them wants the pastor's decision to lead to protests against the Catholic Church.

Following the earlier Baptist story here I think that all rcc, mormon whatever it is, and fundie protestant houses of worship must as a matter of theoillogical consistency kick any lgbt congregants out of their choirs or music making or lay leadership or volunteer positions.

Then we can see how what remains will function.

Do these musicians consider themselves practicing Catholic in good standing with the teachings of the Catholic Church? If so, how do they arrive at that conclusion?

Jesus Christ didn't reject people.....but hypocrites who call themselves "Christians" do.

He told sinners to REPENT and to 'Go and Sin No More'!
Yes He* certainly DID reject certain people.
He said that He was sent only for the people of God aka 'Israel' and that they are saints Only if they live a life in which they endure unto death in Keeping their faith AND the DECalogue/Ten Cs --ALL Ten.

"Have Nothing To Do With The Fruitless Deeds Of Darkness, But Rather Expose them." - Ephesians 5:11

…the further the sexual deviance and permissiveness i.e. sexual liberation, the inevitability of the need for social control. In other words, there is a method to the madness. TPTB promote this extreme excess because it has been scientifically shown that it paves the way for political control and repression….[T]he end-game of the so-called “sexual liberation”— of which women’s “liberation” and the homosexual movement are part and parcel — is a way for the state to gain control."

"One of the dismissed men, said he has no plans to leave the church and that none of them wants the pastor's decision to lead to protests against the Catholic Church."

The Catholic laity protest the Catholic Church? That seems a remote possibility. They just ignore the Catholic Church on all these social issues like abortion and marriage equality and, in the right wing circles of the Catholic laity, the whole economic justice thingie.

They can ignore the Church but they cannot ignore God, or His judgement, for whom the Church speaks.

The Catholic laity evidently has concluded the ermine-collared hierarchy of the rcc does not speak for gawd on any number of issues. And the right wing laity has determined the same thing, but on different issues, namely the economic justice ones.

Also, you are not a party who is involved in gawd's judgement. In xstainity there is a figure who handles that at the pearly gates. Why don't you educate yourself about your claimed religion?

The Catholic Church speaks for God, Jesus, on matters of morals and faith. The Catholic laity does not speak for God anymore then those Israelites did who made the golden calf while Moses was on the mountain getting the Ten Commandments.

Everyone will face the Judgement seat of Jesus, Who will decide their eternal destination.

That's what you say. Other religions, other xstain denominations, and overwhelmingly the Catholic laity in the Western countries say otherwise. Good luck to the overfed misogynists in their fine housecoats and pointy hats.

Also, you misstate xstain dogma routinely.

Jesus established only ONE Church and that is the Catholic Church. It is only the Catholic Church who now speaks for God. I not only say it, Jesus' Church says it.

When Moses brought the Ten Commandment down from the mountain, he did not put them up for a vote. The people were to obey them or pay the consequences.

That doesn't speak to your defaming every Lutheran, Baptist, Quaker, Jew, Muslim, Episcopalian, atheist, agnostic, Buddhist, Pagan, Methodist, etc., on the planet by suggesting their approaches to religion are meritless, but if you're so involved with the Ten Commandments then I expect you to run around calling for the deaths of those who covet or take the lawd's name in vain, along with those who violate any of those other Commandments.

Meanwhile, the Catholic laity ignores the rcc hierarchy on about all the hot button issues.

The laity ignores the teachings of the Catholic Church to their soul's peril.

Jesus established only one Church, the Catholic Church, and its God's instrument of salvation.
Stating a fact defames no one.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church says one may be saved, even if not baptized a Catholic, if through no fault of their own they do not know of Jesus or His Catholic Church, but follow the natural moral law written on their hearts by God. God has bond salvation to baptism but He has not bond Himself to it. See CCC 847

I like it when "religious" people dismiss every other religion and religion person as apostate, but it's even better when they dismiss a good 97% of their own religion's adherents to boot.

I expect you to follow the repeated portions of the buybull and start smiting all these apostates you list, probably starting with that super-super majority of the Catholic laity in Western counties.
