Actor Jim Nabors, aka Gomer Pyle, marries longtime male partner

Jim Nabors, the Hawaii resident well known for his starring role in the 1960s television sitcom "Gomer Pyle, USMC," married his longtime male partner early this month, he told Hawaii News Now Tuesday.

You're so funny. He and his longtime partner travelled to another state in order to have a marriage ceremony legally performed, then spoke openly with the media about it. That's getting involved in the marriage debate regardless what they might want to call it.

Merely existing and being open publicly about existing puts one square in the debate!

Did you happen to notice that Nabors got MARRIED to his HUSBAND? Given his notoriety, that's enough to say he's involved right there. How does having a same-sex marriage make him a "good queer" in the book of someone who opposes all things homosexual?

I don't read the scandal sheets and I really don't know why anybody does. I read the New York Daily News each day and unfortunately it now seems that MOST of their stories are exactly what you find in the scandal sheets.
