What is a country if not its citizens? Do you think the ongoing civil war in Syria (as an example) and its corresponding "deconstruction' of the economy, the country's infrastructure, etc. has no impact on it's citizen's? If so, it would appear YOU are the one on drugs.

I do believe that. You've always demonstrated you find it easier to advocate discrimination against gays than to actually address the damage that heterosexuals have inflicted upon the institution of marriage that you strive so ineffectively to keep away from gays.
One has absolutely nothing to do with the other....nice try....

No, I was grouping you with other groups of historical and current bigots who advocated discrimination like you do on the basis of their "principles" and a need to save "the country" and/or "tradition". It's not my fault you're too blinded by your bigotry to see or understand the accuracy of the comparison.

Syria now!

Do you realize a country would still be a country if it had not citizens at all???

Citizens can move to 'other' countries...just because you made a s-tupid leap in your mind doesn't mean that was 'my' intent...it just shows how far you are willing to go to lie on what someone else said...

A land mass or territory mass possess a commonly agreed name but it isn't a nation without people or a government.

Which makes them immigrants in those other countries, not citizens. And only if granted permission by those countries to become permanent residents. Are you truly this ignorant of international law?

Indeed. Preventing gays from marrying is discrimination based on bigotry, which has nothing to do with the fact heterosexuals have been damaging the institution of marriage for decades.

No, are you ready to join the grown ups and stick to the topic?
Every time you post one of these off topic obfuscations, you simply reaffirm that you have no valid argument.

So we 'do' need to look up 'territory' and 'nation' for you now...

1. a state or nation: What European countries have you visited?
2. the territory of a nation.
And let me flesh out the first definition of "country" for you:

na·tion [ney-shuhn]
noun

1. a large body of people, associated with a particular territory, that is sufficiently conscious of its unity to seek or to possess a government peculiarly its own: The president spoke to the nation about the new tax.
2. the territory or country itself: the nations of Central America.
3. a member tribe of an American Indian confederation.
4. an aggregation of persons of the same ethnic family, often speaking the same language or cognate languages.

~~~~~~~~~~
But please, do enlighten us how the territory of a country can be "deconstructed" without having an impact of the people/citizens who live within that territory? We'll wait.
No need; I already posted the definition of "nation" for you so you can see 3 out of 4 of its citations refer to people.
My 'self-assessment' is 'very' relevant on this matter....
The 'impact' of my words (what words btw??) are not so much about me as they are the person receiving them...
I can strike up a conversation about the 'destruction of a country', and 'some people' hear the words 'people are expendable'....that actually says more about the receiver than the communicator now doesn't it????
My actions are formed as a result of my experiences and beliefs...
My advocacy is not 'against' anyone, but 'for' something....you wouldn't understand that...because you are a big fat liar!
Having an 'impact'...doesn't mean the people are 'expendable'...that is where 'your' imagination takes 'you'...not me...
Well, there's where you are wrong...I don't believe two heterosexed people of the same sex should be married either....it actually doesn't matter the sexuality for me...therefore your whole 'bigot' sensation is another big fat lie of yours...
