No cupcake, he apologized for violating their constitutional rights by arresting them for a crime that did not exist, in the desperate hope that they don't bankrupt East Baton Rouge when they sue and win for violating their civil rights.

Read the article doofus:
Officers from the SheriffÂ’s office would cruise a particular park where gay men were known to hook up, chat the men up, and then retire to a private apartment in order to arrest the men. No enforceable crimes were committed as the men did not intend to exchange money and none of them were minors.

First off, GREAT FALSE name, LITTLE liar. Germany now, huh? does the fun never stop with you, LITTLE liar?

Second. NO crime was committed. NO one had sex in the park, they went to the cops' APARTMENT, illiterate moron.

unless it was your old skank whore mother who has sex with any animal with a penis. Or, if that is not available, then she rubs up and down on picnic tables or pump handles or anything she can rub up against.

Somehow I don't think anybody lowly and sleazy enough to hang out in a park looking to suck off some stranger is going to have the intelligence or capability to bring a law suit against the Sheriff's Department.

Really big of the guy. He wastes tax dollars on an operation he knows has no legal basis and then tries to cover his ass and hope he doesn't get fired.

He should be charged with criminal conspiracy. And the officers that arrested these men should also face criminal charges and sanctions.

I live in Ft. Lauderdale. Broward county runs these stings all the time. Yet they all targeted gay men.

I have never heard of a hetero male or female getting charged for cruising the beach or a park trying to hook up with someone.

Stop it. This is a serious subject. Whose side are you ON, you moron? What the hell is wrong with you?

Well, at least you are NOT FaFoxy. He is HORRIBLE and a disgrace to the world. I am so glad he has stopped showing his ugly face around here. Can you imagine anything more HORRIBLE than a middle aged man with a PONY TAIL? YUCK!! He admits to being way past middle age and drives a fork lift. It doesn't get any more sad than that!

The reality is this buttercup, the EBRSO is going to be sued for civil rights violations and they are going to lose and end up paying out the wazoo for their misconduct.

You favor violence against people you don't even know, and who have done nothing to harm you, over justice and freedom. You would see the law be cast aside, simply to quench your bloodlust, even though to do so would put you and your loved ones in incredible levels of danger. I don't see why anyone should consider what you view as "intelligent" seriously.

The list of criminal charges the sheriff could face is very long. Same with the deputies.

I feel sorry for them, but I know they probably knew this was a bogus operation. But hey as long as they got a paycheck.

Considering that the majority of persons infected with HIV on a world wide basis happen to be heterosexual, I think your comments that men in the park were infected with AIDS displays your appalling lack of knowledge let alone any ability pass an intelligent comment

The Sheriff's Dept. is liable to be hit with a slew of lawsuits claiming false arrest, and they will probably lose those suits. Also, it's conceivable they could also be hit with both criminal, and civil charges of violation people's civil rights.

Also, you may be surprised to learn that long ago, SCOTUS ruled in a case before them that a person has the RIGHT to use deadly force against a law enforcement officer IF the attempted arrest is illegal.

And NOT SO LONG AGO, in April 2012, REPUBLICAN Governor Daniels signed into law a bill, passed by the Indiana Legislature WHICH ALLOWS citizens to use DEADLY FORCE against police officers.

Please, do not judge all fork lift drivers by him. I worked in warehousing and transportation for 43 years, and I knew many fork lift drivers. For the most part they were good and honorable people. Most, not all. FaFoxy is an aberration, not the example. Thank you.

That may or may not be true. In any event, should I get arrested on a false charge, I think I would prefer to sue and get the money, rather than risk a trial for manslaughter.
