If it was a new airport I might say think about it, but to rename the airport in California when the state is BROKE is just irresponsible and stupid…hire some more emergency service workers or give them a raise….how about better equipment…wasting time on something so ridiculous is a shameful…

So you are saying it would be cheaper to build a new airport rather than just change a sign? I don't quite follow that,'logic'.

now, don't be stupid. he means IF they were building a whole new one - is their something wrong with your sort of people? why not name it after Michael Jackson , another rather gay feller. It could be called "Dead pervert Memorial Airport".

Oh, it's sort of silly to go to all that trouble. I like it that airports ARE named after cities. It saves confusion with out of towners. If they must, they can do what they did in
Southern California...they renamed Burbank Airport "Bob Hope Burbank Airport", same as Orange County Airport now called "John Wayne Orange County Airport", it is more of a courtesy to the famous person, without having to change EVERYTHING.

Why not rename it Jerry Sandusky Airport?
Harvey Milk was a respected City Councilman, and a fighter for HUMAN rights and dignity for all, not just his own demographic.

Sandusky was a terrible criminal. Comparing one to the other is like comparing Ted Bundy to Albert Schweitzer.

I didn't know that John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport and Long Island MacArthur Airport, all on Long Island, are all named for cities. Which cities are they named for ?

I’m saying it’s stupid to waste time and energy on something so worthless…no wonder California is so messed up! This is shameful; legislators have no more pressing things to spend their time on then changing the name of an airport?

Harvey Milk gave his LIFE defending ingrates like you.

You are not even ALLOWED to set foot in any airport named after him, ungrateful wretch.

Oh, suck it. You know very well what I mean. Denver is called 'Stapleton Denver'. Atlanta is 'Hartsfield Atlanta'. But then, some airports...Los Angeles International..LAX. I meant that it is nice when the city is mentioned at least.

I never said ALL airports are named after the city they are in. Never.

Don't deliberately misunderstand me, despite your pals at Fox making big money doing it. You don't do it as well as they do.

This pi$$es me off…some guy is a hero because he died for his freaky sexual behavior…so now if a member of NAMBLA dies for the right to have sex with under age boys…is he a hero or just a NUT? I say they both need medical help!
What he did in bed has NOTHING to do with what he did for his constituents. Does it matter what any politician does in his or her own bedroom?

Harvey was incredibly supportive of his area's residents and fought for senior citizens and minorities, besides gay citizens.

NAMBLA is a splinter organization, not supported or approved of by any gay organization. They would never be allowed to march in any parades, or advertise in any gay publication, or anything like that.

Any public activity was abandoned in about 1980 or so. They have no center, nor meetings or anything at all for you to worry about.

You seem to know an awful lot about NAMBLA. Interesting and very, very telling.

So which cities were Floyd Bennett Field and Roosevelt Field (both on Long Island) named for ?

Governments create monuments to people whose effect on the populace they need to silence.

Harvey is still alive in the minds of the people of SF.

My hero’s have names like Mahatma Gandhi, MLK, Malcolm X, Kennedy, Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington…I’ll have plenty of airports to go to…but I don’t fly anymore…getting x-rayed and felt up by TSA perverts just doesn’t do it for me…but I can see how it would appeal to you...
