I Think omosexuality is a natural expression of sexuality, we never remember how many animals has omosexual partner.(Dolphins, monkey, tiger, pinguin...and so on..)
For the society is difficult to accept minority, but doesn't means is worng.

Actually, right and wrong ARE relative. But you can only see that from the outside. Individually, we each have our own sense of right and wrong but we're all different. Even among those who follow a set doctrine, such as following the Bible, will often disagree on interpretation. We even each change our own views of what is right and wrong over the course of our lives. What we believe is right when we are young we may learn is wrong as we mature, or vice-versa.

So right and wrong are very much relative. That's why we humans disagree so much.

Insane! Your comments are so prudish, so self-interpreted it's ridiculous. To even think that homosexuality is a "choice" is so ridiculous. I am gay, do you actually think I woke up one morning and said"Gee, I think I will go and have sex with men and be gay!?" Yes, the choice to be ridiculed, to be excluded my the majority of society, beaten by school bullies, denied civil and basic human rights, one hell of a choice, eh?

What day was it that you chose to be heterosexual, just curious?

Since no one else has mentioned the TV clip, I will. It was probably the finest moment on the series, for me. I have met so many tight-a** people like that woman in my lifetime (and here on this forum, too), that I actually cheered when this segment ended. I taped all the episodes of that program, and this is the one that I kept. If only we could have a President that actually thought and spoke as he did, not just on homosexually, but on other problems as well.

I used the word problems in that last sentence. It should have been subjects. Homosexuallity is NOT a problem. christofacism is.

I know what the Bible says. I know that is inspired. Which means that it was breathed by God into the writers minds. But I also know that homosexuality is not a choice. Either you are attracted to men or your not. So you have to find some way of making peace so to speak with God. For me, it was becoming a Eunuch. For others, it can be something far different. I am still attracted to men and not women. The lack of Testrosome in my body did not change that. But I have peace with God that I am not violating his laws.

The problem isn't the bible and what it says. The problem is people like Hesed who believe the words of the bible are literally true. Hesed and people like him refuse to know that most of the bible was written 1900 years ago in a very different world, one in which even common words had different meanings.

They also refuse to know that the bible has undergone and continues to undergo different translations and that the translations reflect the prejudices and beliefs of the era in which the traslation is made.

This willfully embraced ignorance makes it impossible to ever win an argument with people like Hesed. Let him have his ignorance.

Perhaps that was indeed your destiny. But I am very sorry that you have denied the nature that you were endowed with. Sexuality--homosexual or heterosexual--is a gift. I am truly sorry that you have rejected such a marvelous gift.

If the realization that you are a homosexual is a conscious choice.
and if you believe the bible.
God commands all to love one another as yourself.
Which sin is greater loving a partner of the same age and wanting to be devoted to them or hating people you perceive are different and behaving violently toward them either through word or deed.

1. The "Bible" was passed down for generations by word, since most of the population was illiterate at the time. All the "letters" that the apostles wrote were actually written down for them, because they could not read nor write.
What are you talking about? You are spreading false information.
Shane wrote:
<quoted text>
2. Finally, when the "Bible" was written down, it was scribed and copied by monks who took their own interoperation of the text in a language which has lots of problems with direct translation.
Wrong again. Scribes copied it. The NT was written in greek which is the language of the original text.
Shane wrote:
<quoted text>
3. Once the "Bible" was translated in to English, it was translated from a language that did not have punctuation, so when the "divinely" inspired authors translated, that made their own decisions about the punctuation, which, if you know anything at all, you know you can take a sentence, change where the punctuation is and you have completely changed the meaning of the text.
Wow... wrong again! As you now know, the NT was written in greek.... and yes greek does have punctuation.
Shane wrote:
<quoted text>
4. There are so many things in the "Bible" which are clearly written to address the issues of the time, such as being able to own slaves, wives as property, murder in the name of God, and so many other wonderful little ditties.
So you must ask yourself, How does this apply to my life?
If it's in the Bible, it's there to teach something.
Shane wrote:
<quoted text>
5. Some Pope, on his own, decided what went into the "Bible" or not.
It is soooo unfortunate that you believe this.
Shane wrote:
<quoted text>
6. During the time that the "Bible" was written, the only definition of homosexuality, the only concept that they understood at that time was the relationship between old men and boys, left over from the Greeks. They had no concept or social understanding of a committed relationship between two consenting adults. They were not speaking of homosexual relationships as we know them, they were referring to child abuse.
Sorry... fornication is fornication, gay or straight. Sex outside of marriage fornication.
And there is no marriage other than Man/Woman marriage....That is clear from the begining.
Shane wrote:
<quoted text>
7. When the "bible" was written and finalized and bastardized to fit the needs of those in power, THAT DID NOT MEAN THAT GOD STOPPED TALKING.
If you think for one moment that I am going to feel like I am doomed to "Hell" some ridiculous concoction created to scare people into submission of the church, then you obviously don't understand the teachings of Christ at all.
You are trying to destroy the certainty, purity and perseverance of Gods Word because YOUR LUSTS. You would do well to conform you life into what the Bible says.

I am a very good person, my partner is a wonderful human being and together, we live a life of love, charity and good works.
Why don't you try to stop blindly quoting something and take the time to understand where that came from.
Being a good person and having good works are like filthy rags in Gods sight.
If you believe by your own righteousness you are justified you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Everyone needs Christ's righteousness.
Did Christ die in vain?

How do Christians justify adhering to only the "Laws" of God they wish? Isn't the pounding of Biblical quotes against homosexuality HYPOCRITICAL given the vast number of commands modern day Christians ignore on a regular basis?

The Bible is more fiction than truth. Read it cover to cover, and you'll see this God is a Vengeful, and mean person.

Mary giving birth by virgin conception. Now there's a woman who stuck to her story. No I wasn't a slut, it just magically happened.

The Bible was written to pull people together, and as a guide on how to live their lives. It did help in that respect.

But history showed us that the Cristian's are the most violent of all people. Look at the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, to name just 2.

Everyone has the right to believe what they want to believe. The Christians shouldn't be using it to condemn, something they don't understand.
"Love thy neighbor" & "The Golden Rule"

Please before anyone goes quoting the Bible make sure you've read, and Understand the entire book. And don't pick & choose just the parts you want to believe.

I for one am not going to repent my "sins", because I don't consider myself "sinful". As far as judgment day, that was to give people hope, and to make them not so afraid of dying.

Never underestimate the ability of a religionist to exceed your expectations of how hypocritical they can be.

<quoted text>
In the first place, the Bible is composed of 60-some books, written by 40-some authors, over a span of 1,500 years. To suggest God "wrote" or "dictated" every word is so ignorant, it's close to brain-dead.
In the second place, there is NOTHING in the Bible, nary a word, against loving, consensual, same-sex relationships. In fact, in Matthew 19:12, Jesus Christ explains that some cannot (or will not) live in a traditional opposite-sex relationship.
The only type of sexual relations that are condemned are those that are exploitative, violent, non-consensual, or in some other fashion offensive.
If you are taking away from the Bible the notion that there is something wrong about being gay, then you simply are reading it wrong.
While it may be true that God's Word is infallible, your understanding of it is certainly not. Far from it.
Tom... you cannot argue with a true believer... even FACT has no importance to them.

You are so right though... most religious extreme-nuts do not even really know the bible nor it's origins or authors..
