WOW! Powerful. Sincere. Direct and to the point.

IMO book mark this article.

And thank you Assemblyman Caraballo. Let the trolls begin attacking a black man for standing up for equality for us. He knows more about discrimination and stereotypes than they could ever hope to know.

REALLY liked the quote form Justice Oliver Wendall Holmes quote and the “statutory interpretation.” How to read a statute.(Now I get it guys)

And he's absolutely right when he said, "I was naïve when I started law school, never having met a lawyer prior to the orientation program at New York University.(Having been raised in the South Bronx, I’d say this was a good thing.)"

I tip my hat to you sir.

You could have read the article before spouting off the top of your head. Then you wouldn't have asked a question that made you appear stupid.[But why let that stop you?]

When the New Jersey Supreme Court issued its decision in 2006, I believed the right thing to do was to pass a marriage equality bill. I sought support from my colleagues in the Legislature. It wasn’t forthcoming. Many of my colleagues were concerned that we would be moving too quickly.

Realizing that I could not get marriage equality, I then fought for the civil union bill. It was my belief that we had to do something.
Typical Daniel P. Vomiting out nonsense before even reading.

I'm a Libertarian and ALL you guys here seem to think that I am the ONLY PERSON IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY that does not support Democrats and liberals (They're Evil, that's why).

Yet you seem to IGNORE the FACT that the American people ELECTED Republicans to a majority in the House, ELECTED Republicans to a majority in the Governor's mansions, and ELECTED Republicans to a majority in the state legislative houses.(The Democrats are a TRIPLE MINORITY !:))

Therefore, I submit to you, that i am NOT the only person in the country that does not support the Democrats, liberals, and their associated cohorts, minions, lackeys, dupes and hangers-on.

Being openly gay and supporting EQUALITY IN ALL RESPECTS for LGBT people, INCLUDING MARRIAGE EQUALITY, does NOT mean you MUST be a Democrat (or as my dear, departed Dad always called them around the supper table. "The Evil Ones".)

Nobody thinks you're the only one in the country that supports Republicans, no matter how badly they oppose your self-interest. Nobody even supposes that you are the only gay who supports Republicans, no matter how badly they oppose your self-interest.

We even believe that there are rational people who accept how badly they are treated by Republicans, but vote for them anyway. We just don't think you're one of the rational ones.

IF you were a libertarian, you would be equally disgusted with Republicans. Nay, moreso.

I'm not happy with Republicans at all. But when your choices are Uncle Joe Stalin and Al Capone, I'll choose Uncle Al everytime.

(Besides if I ever even THOUGHT about being a Democrat, or supporting a Democrat, or looking at a Democrat, for even the briefest moment, my dear, departed father would be doing pinwheels in is grave.)(He was a village Republican committeeman for almost 7 weeks !)

Two houses of Congress. A triple majority? And you wonder why most think of you as a joke. A Sad Tragic one.

Maybe you should go back to cribbing quotes out of context from the Bush vs Gore 2000 decision!

LMAO!

Good men don't compromise their principles for political expediency. Guess that is why we have so many Libertarians like you in office right?

And why the Republicans insist on giving the Catholic Church escape clauses in laws governing discrimination?

Twirl on girlfriend!
