Thank you for not trying to claim that the poor child was bullied because she was gay. It is heartbreaking enough for her parents without that added stress.

One thing I've mentioned in other articles is that, even if the victim of bullying isn't lesbian or gay, that usually plays a part in the bullying in that homophobic language is usually used to attack these poor children.

However, there's no information one way or the other that she was lesbian. It is still very tragic. A young life was lost to bullying.

Don't hope for that, because it makes you no better than them. Hope instead that their kids turn out gay.

Just when I think you can't sink any lower, SniKKKers, you do. You truly are a cesspool of hatred and bigotry. May your god have no mercy on your worthless soul.

An innocent child is dead and you walk around healthy as a fat little pig. Sometimes I really truly wonder what the world has in mind.

You know guys...I had to deal with that situation a while back. I made the mistake of claiming that a suicide victim was gay when he wasn't. I got a rather nasty note from the victim's boyfriend. He had been bullied, though. So, despite Chance's issues, on this one, he is right. It would be wrong of me to erroneously claim that this girl was lesbian or bullied for being lesbian because it would hurt her family if I was wrong, and because it would be wrong of me because that information was never revealed.

Sei, implying she's gay would hurt her family only if they're bigots; otherwise the information would be merely erroneous, not hurtful. In any case, SniKKKers is not thanking you for getting the facts correct. He/she/it is using this tragedy as another opportunity to indulge in bigotry, and that is NOT right.

That is correct, which is why I'm being...well, me about it and acting like he's being nice so that I'll irritate him :)

I just re-read your original post:

"I made the mistake of claiming that a suicide victim was gay when he wasn't. I got a rather nasty note from the victim's boyfriend."

In my disgust over SniKKKers, that slipped right past me. Sorry!

It's ok. I know that SniKKKers was trying to be mean, but I also know that I can hurt families unintentionally when I give wrong information. So, I'm careful.

Your caution is a mark of integrity.

Kudos.
