Just another really DUMB cartoon. It is disgusting what they parade in front of kids these days. If I had kids, they wouldn't be watching cartoons at all. Too many wonderful things to do in the world than watch that mind-numbing crap.

So now they're forcing homosexual perversion and "gender-bending" crap on kids through cartoons? SICK.
Yes, indeed, quite sick.

Did you know that most Anime from Japan has shown transgendered and gay people, not only as primary characters, but as heroes, since ... well, ever? The most popular and well known Anime and Manga all have at least one, if not several, transgendered and gay characters.

Thus, when you say "these days" you demonstrate that you are completely clueless, and have been your entire life, about what's really going on. This is good news, because your kind are dying off, fading and being forgotten, soon, all that will remain of your existence is what you post on these forums for future generations to laugh at.

You wouldn't happen to be referring to Lancer from Robotech now would you? I actually still remember him and his performances as a woman singer. This must have been, oh, 1985, if I remember correctly. I remember I was ten and living in Tampa, FL.

Actually, that's not one I knew of, I had not known that Robotech had actually been that cool.

Don't know if you're smart enough to realize it or not, Freak, but we're not in Japan. Stupid......whatever the heII you are.
Guess which country holds the record sales for Japanese Anime and Manga sales .... the USA, and it's been around here since I was old enough to remember. Transformers was a show my brother loved on TV. My Little Pony was a good one back then as well. I cannot recall the most popular one in the US, something about a kid who when splashed with cold water became a girl and warm water made it a boy, not sure I even got the order correct, been a very long time since I had seen those cartoons. You would have to live in a cave or be in complete denial to not know at least one cartoon from the 80s that did not have a gay character. Actually, you'd be hard pressed to find one that did not include a gay character.

You're talking about Ranma Nibun-no-Ichi or Ranma 1/2. And you had the order in the right direction.

Aw, the poor illiterate mongrel does not like to know that they have been watching gay people in cartoons their entire lives.

It actually is a pretty good one, a very complex storyline with a lot of interesting twists and internal struggles with identity and all that. But very subtly played out in roles that are pretty deep. I recommend it, been a long time since I have seen the Ranma series, but it's a very excellent one.

Note: It's father is a panda, well, he turns into a panda, which adds some rather hilarious situations to it.

Whoops! Misread the article-it's about a twelve year old boy who can turn into a super-powered woman! Even better! I used to play a game like that at recess as a child! Got in a lot of fights, for some reason!

So it's been on in Australia for a while? And you've seen it? It sounds like a wonderful premise! The identity issues may really speak to kids in a positive way! I'm looking forwatrd to it-do you know when it airs here? The story didn't say.

No, I misunderstood which you were talking about. ;)

Kind of makes you wonder, since the story sounds so close to Ranma.

Now that I think on it, I don't think there was any cartoon that did not have a gay, lesbian, AND transgendered character made after 1980.

It always makes me wonder how many of the writers & artists are gay themselves! Quite a few, I bet. Not that it matters; every now and then, though, there will be a line or a scene that only a gay person could make!

I cannot argue your logic on that. I guess that means all the bigots will have to do the unthinkable, and stop watching movies and television completely.

There are lots of threads on Topix about that, I'm sad to say, if that's what you're looking for. This forum is about an animated show coming to the Hub network.
