Yes unfortunately since drug companies have successfully convinced everyone that HIV is now just a chronic illness the protection message has gone by the wayside.

A bunch of young folks who feel they sexual revolution has passed them by has decided to play fast and loose with their long-term health.

Although the article is a bit misleading. the statistic is 1 in 5 and they refer to that as a HIGH rate. I don't consider 20% a high rate. It's higher than I'd like but that means the other 80% are NOT young gay and bisexual men.

Shouldn't we focus a bit of attention on who makes up THAT demographic?

I agree that the other 80% is a demographic worth exploring. The CDC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health do little or nothing to communicate with young gay men in a meaningful manner. Most health care professionals make no effort to listen or communicate with gay people. They assume that the whole world is not gay. At age 64, I currently see five physicians fairly routinely. None of them has ever inquired about my sexual orientation. This is the norm. One local primary care practice owned by a major hospital routinely displays Focus on the Family (an anti-gay hare group) literature in the waiting room. That sent a clear message that I was not welcome. Although I live in a metropolitan area of 1,636,000 people, we only just got a gay-friendly primary care practice serving the entire region from two locations.

Our Illinois troll would probably think that a cottonmouth was a gartersnake if it wore a cute "ILUVJESUS" button.

Technically Focus on the Family is not classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

However, that said, they are not at all friendly toward LGBT individuals and they are certainly NOT following anything remotely similar to the teachings of Jesus - so to call them a Christian group is laughable.

It is tragic that radical homosexual hate groups like the HRC waste millions on the fraud of homosexual 'marriage,' while so many of their own contract diseases and die because of the lies they tell about homosexual being 'like everyone else.' They attack anyone who tells the truth about the horrible tragedy that so often follows a homosexual lifestyle choice.
Oh yes by all means lets not talk about that multitude of tragedies that beset those who make that heterosexual lifestyle "choice".

Do you just vomit back everything they feed you or do you actually make an attempt to use your brain and think for yourself?

I'm fairly certain you wouldn't know a fact if it jumped up wearing glitter makeup and big poofy hair screaming "I'm a fact" while doing high kicks in your living room.

So sad. With just a little education, HIV could be essentially wiped out in a generation.

What's truly tragic is how you, in spite of being a member of arguably the most intelligent species currently on the planet, choose to drown yourself in myth and superstition and in doing so, negate the other 98% of your brain function.

So David, you believe marriage causes HIV, or increases the incidence of the disease?

Can you provide any stats or studies to prove that?

Of course it's a hate group, by definition.

They intentionally spread lies and work tirelessly for legislation that directly harms gay people and their families.

That's certainly not Christian behavior.

I believe David has kids, but he lost them as a result of his own failed marriage.

I believe that marriage was considered a sham by his ex-wife.

Focus on the family is a vile hate group chock full of ignorant fundietard filth! dobson is one of the biggest a-holes in the US. If these vermin want to live in a theocracy may I suggest iran or Saudi Arabia? Better yet how about the taliban controlled areas of Afghanistan. The taliban bear a close resemblance to most christian hate groups.
