1. Immigrants are trying to smash down doors to get here too and we have loads of them. They just don't happen to be Mexican, for the most part.
2. Of course no one wants to go to Cuba because there are no jobs. Cuba is in bad shape for three reasons: 1. The days of large-scale money-flow from the Soviets are long gone. 2. The Castro family has pilfered tons of money from the people - one can hardly call them model communists. The problem with their government is not communism, it is corruption via absolute power. 3. The continued and politically unwise US embargo cuts into a lot of potential revenue for them.

He is an asshole but inside his rantings is actually a valid point. In Toronto, we do have a large number of people (mostly African) pretending to be gay to try to gain refugee status. It hurts the real gay refugees (most as from Middle Eastern countries and are educated people who could well contribute to the economy). The phonies don't usually get through but just handling their cases is expensive. The question is how to tell if someone is gay without sticking a rectal probe in them and measuring sexual response to porn.

For your information NOT all illegals here are America is stealing your tax money. I was initially sponsored to work here and happened to have a legal SS#. At some point of my work visa process failed so I became to be out of status. But guess what? I have been paying every penny of your tax dollar here with the deduction of $1400 a month from my paycheck that's supposedly for pension in the future. But since I am considered illegal here. There's no way I would benefit from it or would even see a single centavo of my contribution to your tax pool.

I approach the issue of immigration form a purely environmentalist viewpoint. The land can only support so many people and there are already over 300,000,000 people in the U.S. now. That's already FAR TOO MANY HUMANS occupying our LIMITED amount of land and consumimg our LIMITED amount of resources. You have to draw teh line SOMEWHERE !

Or would you prefer 500,000,000 people ? Or 800,000,000 PEOPLE ? Or how about 1,000,000,000 people in teh U.S.? Is that fine with you ?

I think it should be rolled back to no more than 200 million to 250 million people in the U.S. But there only a small number of ways to do that, some of which are not morally acceptable.

So I draw my line exactly where it is here and now. And that is NOT unreasonable. Unless of course you prefer 800,000,000 to 1,000,000,000 here in the U.S. in the foreseeable future.

Carefully tailored programs for each country and region must be implemented which must include education, heatlhcare, and material resources.

Malthus was wrong. But we should work to prove he was wrong sooner rather than later.
