To me the whole "park cruising" thing is creepy as hell, but unless someone is having sex in that park what crime did they commit?

Anyone expecting law suits against the police is probably going to be disappointed. From the beginning, police have always relied on the arresteds' reluctance to publicize their circumstances. Even if some arrested should sue, the police will intimidate and lie about the circumstances of the arrest. They will do to the arrested what George Zimmerman's lawyers did to Trayvon Martin, but there will be no one there to defend against the police.

Who needs that kind of publicity?

Are you not reading the article either? the DA dropped all charges. No law was broken. I just noted that the arrested guys have now been FORMALLY apologized to.

So now since the police had to apologize to the queers there will be a huge gay orgy in the park tonight.

The apology was simply to save his job. He and the officers involved should be removed and face criminal charges as well as civil lawsuits.

I feel sorry for the City of East Baton Rouge that this will cost them a lot of money.

But they made the decision to elect this guy. Now they have to live with that choice.

Here in S. Florida the police have lots of stings like this running. Yet they target gay men and blacks.

I never see these things going on at the beach during spring break. Maybe because they know arresting so many white guys and girls would be a political and economic disaster.

These men were doing what men and boys do all the time in public. And girls and women do it to.

This is about arresting people who are intent on meeting someone and hoping for anonymous consensual sex in private. It's not about "protecting children and families".

You certainly don't have to worry, for someone to have kids, they would actually have had to have sex with a woman. Something you obviously don't get to experience in your mother's basement where your apartment is, LITTLE liar.

Bet the guys a republican to!
While I do find gay sex to be less than kosher, I must agree that the police department is wasting its time and resources trying to enforce a law in the category that was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. It also reeks of entrapment. People may have differing moral standards, but the law is the law, period. What consenting adults do in their own homes out of sight of others is their business and nobody elses. Have a good day, my friend.

Any sex outside of marriage is "less than kosher." But hunting for a quick roll in the hay is common in all communities. Most people find straights hunting for a quickie to be rather off-putting as well. So they avoid locations that is likely to occur.

Some of those locations are quite public, as well. But nobody would ever suggest that a man who talks a woman into coming back to his room for a quick tryst should be arrested.[Well, nobody would be taken seriously, anyway. I do know some people who would be very happy to see that happen.]
