And some people try to assert that the churches aren't political!

Evangelicals, episcopalians and Catholics, what a surprise. Lets just keep our foreign aid and close down the embassy.

I would love to see the US finally take a principled stand and do just that. It is, after all, our money to spend. Why are we spending it in countries that do not agree with our ideals (not necessarily the actuality)? With so many living below the poverty line in this country, and with children going to bed hungry in the richest country in the world, maybe we need to refocus on our shores and aid those foreign nations that want our help and are willing to do their own work to prove that they are trying to raise to our ideals.

It's funny how they never say no to US aid.

The U.S. continues to ruin its good name throughout the world. And we wonder why they hate us.

Yes, how dare the US nominate a "man like that." Instead we should send them a bigot with the IQ of a lawn chair; someone who would fit in with their "customs" and "culture." Perhaps even a pedophile, since the catholics appear to be running things. A bigot, with a low IQ and a love for diddling kids: that would definitely mean they wouldn't have a gay man to deal with.

Those that hate us do so because we have people like you spouting off inane and bigoted remarks at the drop of a hat.
