Mar 15, 2013 Full story: shine.yahoo.com 293

The much praised letter, from FCKH8.com via Facebook.A letter written from a dad to his gay son Nate is going viral on the Internet because of its simple, hopeful message of love. The letter was posted on the Facebook page of FCKH8.com, an organization aimed at empowering youth through its snarky, gay-positive T-shirts, videos and activist campaigns. Fans often send in photos of inspiring items, from cakes topped with Im gay! to jack olanterns carved with FCKH8.

We get a lot of crazy stuff, so I almost didnt look at it, FCKH8.com founder Luke Montgomery told Yahoo! Shine about the letter, which was emailed to them by Nate, a Michigan high-school student. But when he did read it, he said, I cried.

Here is the letter: I overheard your phone conversation with Mike last night about your plans to come out to me, it reads. The only thing I need you to plan is to bring home OJ and bread after class. We are out, like you now. Ive known you were gay since you were six, Ive loved you since you were born. - Dad P.S. Your mom and I think you and Mike make a cute couple. Full Story

You trying to say you don't have a lifestyle?
We all have a lifestyle. Lifestyle is what kind of community you live in, how you get to and from work, whether you cook for yourself or buy frozen dinners, etc..

Sexual orientation is a characteristic. It is passive.

If you mean to say self-identifying as "gay" or "lesbian" is a lifestyle, it is not. There is nothing in common among gay people other than sexual orientation.

Your fixation seems to be solely on linking gay men with anal sex and scat. Few people of any sort are into the latter, and not all gay men have anal sex - many prefer just oral. In any case, anal sex is not a lifestyle either - it does not really impact other day-to-day activities.

I'm not saying being gay is a lifestyle. How you live your life and what you do while living it, is your lifestyle, along with the things you also said. Lots of things make up a lifestyle. I don't expect anyone to admit the things they do durning their sexcapades. I'm sure everyone doesn't do the exact same thing. However, whether any of you want to admit it or not, what I said, does happen. You say you can't help being the way you are, try to understand, I can't help being the way I am. Best I can hope for, is trying to understand a little better and try as I can, not to let it bother me. I'm working on it.

Wow. We have had our little cyber bickering, but I must admit that I am impressed that you are posting rationally and without the hate. We don't all have agree on everything. I think if a lot of us on here, had to talk face to face, we might actually get along.

What he's trying to say is there is no "gay lifestyle" anymore than there is a "heterosexual Lifestyle" a "Black lifestyle" a "Christian Lifestyle" etc...

Do you have proof, any proof, of this statement? Or is it just floating around in your head? I am gay, and have been having sex with males since I was in my early teens. I have never indulged in the practice you describe. Where do you people come up with this stuff?
I know. When I read some of the stuff he posts it grosses me out. I mean, does he actually expect us to believe he has all these gay friends who sit around his place and talk about this kind of stuff?

I hope you're sincere. Or maybe you just need to watch a higher class of porn.

I have two cats. I certainly don't live the "gay cat owner lifestyle" anymore than I do the "gay little dog owner" lifestyle (though I do have one of those as well. Hey it IS Ft. Lauderdale!).

It occurs to me that perhaps I should describe my day tomorrow so NoiQ can compare my "gay" lifestyle to other people's.
