What makes you think that we are all sterile? We aren't, you know. And those of who choose not to have kids are no different than the rest of the population who make that choice.

<quoted text>Your ilk makes up about 2% of the population, and you can't reproduce. I don't think you queers are making a dent in the number of adoptions. You'd like the low information types to think you are, but again, that is just another tactic of the radical queer left.
That being said, how horrific it must be for a child to be not only neglected and abandoned by its birth mother, but then to be subjected to witnessing a homosexual lifestyle during their formative years. That is and should be criminal.
Many of my gay pals and gals have children, either by birth from marriage or surrogate. Several of my pals have adopted children, children, whom I might add, were abandoned by inferior hetero mothers, and guess what, Cletus, every one of those gay parents raised HETERO children. My friends who are older now have grandchildren.

However, all my gay pals and gals were raised by HETERO parents, including me.

Where's your theory on about 20 people I can think of, Cletus?

AND birth father. Don't forget there are two heterosexual fornicators involved in the birth of every unwanted child.

But, yes, gay couples do often step up and give such cast off children wonderful homes. Our lifestyles are no different than any straight couple's, of course, and our children do very very well.

Do you know many gay couples with kids, since you seem to be making the argument that you personally know how badly their children are faring?

Or, are you just spouting opinions with no basis in fact, or even personal experience?

Since you personally heard this from a scientist, please list his/her name, and a link to the study they conducted.

Thanks.

You made me think of something that I never did before. What kind of INSULAR lives do these haters lead? Unless they are in some closed society or on a desert island or something, surely SURELY they must have some day to day dealings with gay people. There is no one alive who does not have some gay cousin, or uncle or aunt or sister or neighbor or someone in their circle. They must know one gay person at work, or deal with some in stores or business.

I cannot believe they are living lives that insular. Is this the way they talk to the gay people at work, or behind the airline counter or at Target? If they do, lord. I just think that Topix is where they get to drop their "company manners", drop the masks, and let their true feelings fly.

This was a few years back I do not know his name, but it had something to do with a chemical in our brains, it was either to much or not enough, I know you think I made this up but try googling it.

I don't eat fried food, Cletus, I happen to care what my ass looks like to those walking behind me, unlike your Walmart wife who I think i saw on You-tube in tank top and shory shorts with lard hanging out on all sides.
And handing over $50 to some charity is NOT adopting an unwanted child, Cletus. Not by a long shot.
Name calling is the first sign that you do not have a valid point. All that "your mama is so fat" sh!t does nothing to add to your stance on gay adoption. Just proves my point that you or ANY other queers should not be allowed NEAR children, much less adopt.
Look out for kids, keep them in hetero families! If not, they're just future queers, and we have entirely too many of those, now.

Once again, you are so frightened of 10% of the population? Wow, what a sissy you are. I wouldn't brag about that if I were you.

Unless they're a quack, every single child psychologist will tell you...the best way to raise a child is in a nuclear family ...that being a mother, a father and siblings...numerous studies and statistics for generations and generations have shown this to be true...so why the fck are adoption agencies allowing gays to adopt our children? We should all write to our Congressmen and have those so called discrimination laws revised and/or repealed. Do it NOW...do it for the Children!!

ok well maybe you should wait until 2016 when we control both the House and the Senate...in the meantime pray for those kids who's lives will be destroyed by gay adoptions.

If you think that two gay or lesbian people are going to raise "future queers" then how do you explain the fact that straight couples sometimes raise "queer" children?

Then you better get on it and tell your precious heteros to STOP letting FIFTY percent of their marriages fail. Poor sad children, being raised by a single parent. No wonder so many kids are goofed up.

Of course. It will be something that doesn't address the question at all.

Yum! I wish I lived near you! Actually, we got invited to a combo birthday St. Patrick's day party this evening. It is supposed to be SOME do, a very wealthy lady and her older husband. I will let you know how it turns out. I can't wait. I used to do catering when much younger and it will be a joy to be in FRONT of the bar, instead of behind it, and I hope I don't start picking up dirty glasses or passing trays or something out of old habits.
Erin go BRAUGH to you!

<quoted text>Sad, ain't it? I feel sorry for the kids who get stuck in that kind of environment. When they are old enough to see that their "parents" aren't like the other kid's parents, but too young to understand they have to be totally confused. The kids are beginning their life two strikes behind the kids with a man and woman for parents. Being raised by queers will surely influence the way they turn out.
But the only thing the government cares about is unloading the kids to save money.
let me speak with some experience on this topic.
we're raising 3 kids - one in college, one in high school & our youngest in elementary school.
all 3 are active, with us, in our church.
all 3 are tops in their classes with their grades.
all 3 volunteer and help when they can with various activities held by our church's youth group.
the 2 oldest are on school sports teams - the eldest made the soccer team at college, the middle plays baseball, runs track and plays soccer for the high school. our youngest plays youth soccer and basketball. none of the kids on any of the teams gives our kids a hard time about their parents. how do i know? i coached their youth soccer, my partner coached the baseball and we are the team organizing parents for the youngest's basketball team.

just like you probably are, i'm very proud of my kids.

Myself being straight, I don't like to see two men making out in public, it is something that turns hetersexualitys stomach, it's in our genes, we cannot control it.
i don't care if you're gay or straight - the same laws should apply to us all in the same manner.

as a parent, i don't like seeing anyone making out in public. last yr, while shopping in a local mall for my daughter's easter dress, we saw a straight teenaged couple making out in the mall....and that was pretty uncomfortable for me to steer my child away from that. i understand, completely, what you're saying. but your issue should also be with the straights that conduct themselves in such a fashion as you describe. and, since the bulk of the populace is straight, this happens far mroe often. it's not just a "gay" thing. it's a lack of respect for those around you kind of thing. but i have to wonder....no one was attempting to stop the teen couple, despite the public space, the numbers of kdis around, etc...but i guarantee you, if it'd have been a gay or lesbian couple, someone would've said something. why the difference?

it is amazing, in this day and age, with all the opportunities to travel, to read about other places and experiences, to see things that we never saw or thought of when we were growing up...and there's still these pockets of deep ignorance.

i'm not sure what the common denominator is, though. i go to my home town and around our lake house deep in east Texas (small towns, 15000 people or less) and there's no problem. i go little further north of my home town, about 20 miles, to another town of about 25000 people, and the fear of and ignorance of homosexuals is rampant, like a viral disease, or something.

those pockets, i just don't understand. i don't understand how they can continue to exist.

by the way, the town i'm thinking of just north of my home town - has also been in the news (think CNN) over the last few years for beating blacks and other race based crimes.

are the two "hates" linked? i don't know.
