Gay men do not die any earlier than straight men.

People, gay and straight, who are HIV positive, still have a lower life expectation due to the virus. But most gay men are not infected, and gay women have a much lower rate than straight women and men.

People who are HIV negative have life expectancies equal to others.

Gay women have the lowest infection rate of any transmissible disease, yet this fact is ignored by those who use disease information to justify harming others.

Disease transmission information has always been used to demonize and dehumanize populations targeted for punishment. It was used to justify inter-racial segregation, and continues to be used today, despite the fact we don't deny equal rights based on disease, and straight folks become infected with all of the same diseases and even more straight people do all of the same things gay people do.

Disease transmission information demonstrates the value of encouraging committed monogamous relationships through marriage.

It also demonstrates the importance of comprehensive education about disease transmission and risk reduction.

It fails as an excuse for denial of equal fundamental rights.

False information mixed in with a few misleading facts, is offered in order demonize, dehumanize, and justify punishment. Yet it ignores that even more straight people do everything done by gay people, and we don't deny fundamental rights based on disease.

What year do you think this is? Blood tests are far better than in the earlier days. All blood is scanned for other infectious diseases that are blood borne. Get with it, gramps.
If you are so worried about gay acts, then STOP having them.
Gay men engage in more high risk activity than other groups. Multiple partners and partners only recently met, infidelity is high in this pool of anal probers.

Well, I used to believe that marriage was between one man and one woman, as most normal Americans do. Then I evloved. Now I think what is good for the gander, the gander should mount other ganders and I bless all the homo marriage, like the big gay king that I am. Also, since I am impotent to deal with the defecit, debt and jobs and the economy, I have decided to spend time attacking the boy scouts and make them gay too. Biden and I get gay with each other all the time up at camp David, stroking each others' guns till they pop off a shot, pictures soon to be released.

So just out of curiosity, how does your doctor check your prostate, and if you ever get a colonoscopy, are they going to snake that tube down your throat and through your intestines? No wonder medical bills are so high, what with people like you using mile-long equipment.

Well; lets take a look; sugar:

16,500 = annual US death rate from AIDS
43,547 = annual US death rate from auto accidents

So AIDS is more than twice as safe as your car

GAY MEN RESPONSIBLE FOR 79% OF NEW AIDS INFECTIONS

Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM)1 represent approximately 2% of the US population, yet are the population most severely affected by HIV. In 2009, MSM accounted for 61% of all new HIV infections, and MSM with a history of injection drug use (MSM-IDU) accounted for an additional 3% of new infections. That same year, young MSM accounted for 69% of new HIV infections among persons aged 13–29 and 44% of infections among all MSM. At the end of 2009, an estimated 441,669 (56%) persons living with an HIV diagnosis in the US were MSM or MSM-IDU.
The Numbers
New HIV Infections2

In 2009, MSM accounted for 61% of new HIV infections in the US and 79% of infections among all newly infected men. Compared with other groups, MSM accounted for the largest numbers of new HIV infections in 2009.
Among all MSM, white MSM accounted for 11,400 (39%) new HIV infections in 2009. The largest number of new infections (3,400) occurred in those aged 40–49.
Among all MSM, black/African American MSM accounted for 10,800 (37%) new HIV infections in 2009. Whereas new HIV infections were relatively stable among MSM overall from 2006–2009, they increased 34% among young MSM—an increase largely due to a 48% increase among young black/African American MSM aged 13–29.
Among all MSM, Hispanic/Latino MSM accounted for 6,000 (20%) new HIV infections in 2009. The largest percentage of new infections (45%) occurred in those aged 13–29.

Estimates of New HIV Infections in the US, 2009, for the Most-Affected Subpopulations
Shown here is a vertical bar chart entitled,“Estimates of New HIV Infections in the United States, 2009, for the Most-Affected Subpopulations”. White MSM = 11,400 Black MSM = 10, 800 Women = 6,000 Latino MSM = 5,400 Black Heterosexual Men =2,400 White Heterosexual Women = 1,700 Black Male IDUs = 1,700 Latina Heterosexual Women = 1,200 Black Female IDUs =940 Subpopulations representing 2% or less of the overall US epidemic are not reflected in this chart.

Subpopulations representing 2% or less of the overall US epidemic are not reflected in this chart.
HIV and AIDS Diagnoses3 and Deaths

In 2010, in the 46 states with long-term confidential, name-based reporting, MSM accounted for 78% of estimated HIV diagnoses among all males aged 13 years and older, and 61% of estimated diagnoses among all persons receiving an HIV diagnosis that year.
At the end of 2009, of the estimated 784,701 persons living with an HIV diagnosis, 396,810, or 51%, were MSM. About 48% of MSM living with an HIV diagnosis were white, 30% were black/African American, and 19% were Hispanic/Latino.
In 2010, MSM accounted for 51% of estimated AIDS diagnoses among all adults and adolescents in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Of the estimated 16,796 AIDS diagnoses among MSM, 37% were in blacks/African Americans; 36% in whites; and 22% in Hispanics/Latinos.
By the end of 2009, an estimated 296,222 MSM with an AIDS diagnosis had died in the US since the beginning of the epidemic.

Obama hails Stonewall Riots as civil rights landmark in inaugural address

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 21, 2013,– In his second inaugural address, President Barack Obama hailed a riot in which homosexual rioters, some dressed in drag, pelted police officers with bottles and attempted to set them on fire for raiding a mafia-controlled gay bar.
“We, the people, declare today that the most evident of truths – that all of us are created equal – is the star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall,” the president said just after noon today.
The Stonewall Riots took place on June 28, 1969, after plainclothes New York police officers raided a rundown gay establishment, which the Mafia ran without a liquor license, on morals charges.
Slightly after 1 a.m., the Greenwich Village streets around the Stonewall Inn filled with homosexuals, who pelted police with bottles. They slashed police car tires, attempted to overturn cars, and chased the police back inside the bar.
“We had maybe six people and by this time there were several thousand outside,” remembered Seymour Pine, a deputy inspector with the Morals Division, who led the bust.“The other side was coming like it was a real war. And that's what it was, it was a war…It was as bad as any situation that I had met in during the army.”
When not threatening police, the crowd confronted them, chanting: "We are the Stonewall girls/ We wear our hair in curls/ We don't wear underwear/ We show our pubic hairs."
Their actions, though, were deadly serious.
“Our goal was to hurt those police,” said rioter John O'Brien.“I wanted to kill those cops for the anger I had in me...It gives back a little of the terror they gave in my life.”
The protesters – joined by Black Panthers and antiwar protesters – broke the windows, then burst through the door.
Howard Smith, a reporter with The Village Voice who was holed up inside the bar with the police and several homosexuals, saw lighter fluid sprayed inside the establishment.
“I actually thought, as all of them did, that we were going to be killed,” he said.
By morning, much of the establishment had been burned or wrecked.
Sporadic hostilities continued for days, culminating in the formation of the Gay Liberation Front.
“Sections of the GLF would go on to organize solidarity for arrested Black Panthers, collect money for striking workers, and link the battle for gay rights to the banner of socialism,” wrote Lionel Wright, a homosexual Socialist Party leader.
One year later – June 28, 1970 – homosexual activists organized the first gay pride parade.
At the time, the actions were controversial. Longtime homosexual activist Randy Wicker called the riots “disorderly, and tacky, and cheap.”
Today's LGBT activists consider the riot the beginning of the modern homosexual movement.
In June 2009, President Obama celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots by inviting homosexual leaders to a meeting in the East Wing of the White House.
His cadences today placed the event on par with two other uprisings.
The Selma to Montgomery march for black civil rights took place in March 1965. The Seneca Falls Convention helped launch the women's suffrage movement. Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who organized the event, condemned “murder of children, either before or after birth.“
President Obama touted the homosexual agenda, including marriage redefinition, at numerous points during the inaugural festivities. Saying its aims are an integral part of American “freedom,” he called on citizens to “answer the call of history and carry into an uncertain future that precious light of freedom.”
“As much as I don't like to say it, there's a place for violence,” Tommy Lanigan-Schmidt, who helped lead the assault on police at Stonewall, told PBS.“And as awful as people might think that sounds, it's the way history has always worked.”

Most gay men and women are not infected with any disease.

Gay women are the lowest risk group, far behind heterosexual women and men.

Disease transmission information has always been used to demonize and dehumanize populations targeted for punishment. It was used to justify inter-racial segregation, and continues to be used today, despite the fact straight folks become infected with all of the same diseases, and even more straight people do all of the same things gay people do.

But more fundamentally, we don't deny equal rights based on disease. Because there are some who would like to do that, we have even had to pass laws protecting people with diseases, birth defects, etc, from discrimination.

Disease transmission information demonstrates the importance of encouraging committed monogamous relationships through marriage.

It also demonstrates the importance of comprehensive education about disease transmission and risk reduction.

It fails as an excuse for denial of equal fundamental rights.

Because it provides no legitimate governmental interest, it is nothing more than an attempt to demonize, dehumanize, and rationalize harming others needlessly.

The word pride is used by the gay population as an antonym for shame, which has been used to control and oppress LGBT persons all of their lives. Pride in this sense is an affirmation of ones self and the community as a whole.

While we celebrate June as Pride month in commemoration of the Stonewall uprising of 1969, Stonewall was not the birth of the gay rights movement as is so often reported, but was an important milestone in a movement that was already in progress.

Many don't know the first public gay rights organization in the U.S. was the Society for Human Rights (SHR) in 1924, organized by Henry Gerber, who was soon arrested for his efforts. Organization attempts continued and the Mattachine Society emerged in 1950, followed by Daughters of Bilitis organized by Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon (the first couple married in California) and 6 others in San Francisco in 1955.

In 1959, at Cooper's donuts, a hangout for drag queens, transgendered people, and street hustlers, a riot broke out when customers were harassed by LA Police. It was a small upheaval, but a foreshadowing of things to come.

In September, 1964 in New York City an ad hoc group of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and heterosexuals launched a Saturday protest against antigay military policies in front of Manhattan's Whitehall Induction Center.

On April 17, 1965, the Mattachine Society of Washington (MSW), used public picketing to dramatize their demands and demonstrate their determination. Mattachine's picketing tactic led to the joint effort, with Daughters of Bilitis and Mattachine of New York, in July 4, 1965 picketing at Philadelphia's Independence Hall. That picket became the Annual Reminder that would be repeated through 1969 and was suspended in 1970 to support the first Christopher Street Liberation Day.

In August of 1966, the Compton Cafeteria riot in San Francisco, helped set the precedent for Stonewall. By 1969 gay and lesbian organizations existed all over the country, including about fifty homophile organizations with memberships of a few thousand, helping to set the stage for Stonewall.(More actions took place, and this is just a sample, as space is limited.)
