PROVE THAT CONNECTION,YOU CAN'T, BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ONE!
But Obama can give Brazil $2 billion to an oil company that made $15 billion in profit the year before that drills 3 time deeper then BP!??
Ummm...we opened up vast tracts of deep water drilling without any look at the safety protocols....
yeah,t he connection is clear.

again, the stupified ummmmm that can only come from reading such uninformed dreck....it amazes me that US 'citizens', and i use that term so light ly for you as you are not informed enough about your own country for that title, can continually spout such ignorance.
the Obam admoinistration DID NOT give Brazil any money for drilling. none.

it was the Export-Import Bank of the US that LOANED Brazil the money. look up the EX-IM bank so you can learn something. they are not tax funded. they help business that deal with foreign companies get their product into oversees markets. so that money they lent Brazil was used to by US drilling products! then Brazil pays it back!!!

you really need to go back and look at the info you have parroted from the same source that gave you this lie. most of that info is probably equally incorrect.

"The Bank is chartered as a government corporation by the Congress of the United States."
One of thoses "too big to fail" if sh*t goes south stories again!!

The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil's state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil's Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. Brazil's planning minister confirmed that White House National Security Adviser James Jones met this month with Brazilian officials to talk about the loan.

The offer was there. At the time Obama was shutting down our oil drilling he was willingly to give money to Brazil. What country is he the president of?

The ex-im bank is not funded by tax dollars. the US government did not loan them money, it was loaned to them by a US corporation funded by private dollars. the loan allows them to buy US products for the drilling. again, look into what the ex-im is and you may actually learn something.

Obama exports pollution and then claims he's green. Many nations environmental regulations are lax. So actually he is worsening pollution.

But he doesn't care because he appears to be very environmentally concerned by banning U.S. drilling.

Win/Win for Obama! Lose/Lose for the world and the US economy.

Petrobra made $15 billion in profits while Obama offered them $2 billion to "be there best customer" while he was shutting down drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and killing the Keystone Pipeline! That doesn't make sense!

Still NO ONE has made the connection between the oil rig fire/spill with the last Admin, wishful thinking, maybe but no proof ! Unlike the proof for Fast and Furious, Solyndra,no budget for over 4 years, wanting to punish the case officiers that got the info to find UBL,saving the auto union not the industry, illegal war in Libya, gun running in Syria via Turkey/Libya, leaving an ambassador flapping it the wind, forcing churces to violate their doctrine, Obama Care costing more then sold to the public, wanting bankruupt the caol industry, tax and spend the wealth around, man I can keep going!!!

no, Obama didn't do that, the exIm bank did that, so they would buy US products. then they pay the money back as it was a loan from a privately funded bank...

get a clue.

Petrobra didn't need the money. We have our own resources here but this Admin isn't fossil fuel friendly or at least not American fossil fuel friendly, we need the cheap energy, jobs and revenue, but all we b*tch about is gay marriage, gun control and immigration REALLY!!

Well, they weren't buying those US products without the loan from the privately funded bank. so who cares? who wins here? the people selling the US products...the people who fund the ExIm bank and get their loan back with interst. the world oil supply.

win win win..

You should have the balls to admit this president isn't working! He has done NOTHING to help this country recover from our problems. Now we are 5 years into this mess with no end in sight! Instead of the economy, he worries about health care that we are now finding out is costing more then he said AND it was never a cost cutting plan at the start. Instead of the economy, he worries about gay marraige and gun control. WHERE ARE THE F*CKING JOBS MR.PRESIDENT??!! How does these issues create jobs. The only people making money in gay marriage is the courts that issue the licence and the divorce lawyers when the sh*t goes south. Loaning people money to buy our products, that makes sense, sounds too much like Freddie and Fanny Mae! Loaning people money that don't need or want it. That makes sense too!

Same-sex parenting and children’s outcomes: A closer examination of the American psychological association’s brief on lesbian and gay parenting

Abstract

In 2005, the American Psychological Association (APA) issued an official brief on lesbian and gay parenting. This brief included the assertion:“Not a single study has found children of lesbian or gay parents to be disadvantaged in any significant respect relative to children of heterosexual parents”(p. 15). The present article closely examines this assertion and the 59 published studies cited by the APA to support it. Seven central questions address:
(1) homogeneous sampling,
(2) absence of comparison groups,
(3) comparison group characteristics,
(4) contradictory data,
(5) the limited scope of children’s outcomes studied,
(6) paucity of long-term outcome data, and
(7) lack of APA-urged statistical power. The conclusion is that strong assertions, including those made by the APA, were not empirically warranted. Recommendations for future research are offered.

Highlights

► A 26 of 59 APA studies on same-sex parenting had no heterosexual comparison groups.
► In comparison studies, single mothers were often used as the hetero comparison group.
► No comparison study had the statistical power required to detect a small effect size.
► Definitive claims were not substantiated by the 59 published studies.
