We all have to live the way we love. Gay or straight. I am an orphan, lost folks at age 11, mom on Xmas day, I have to say Have Courage to GO ONWARD. My older bro went nuts on drugs and is in a home for life, lost his mind totally as he could not handle it.
U have to be careful of sex, have ur partner checked BEFORE sex! and DON'T hook with strangers--Period!
I hope I was helpful.

Wow, Dave. However do you find time to post your little gems of wisdom on the gay threads with that very fulfilling/satisfying straight life you chose?

The ACTUAL truth, according to WHO, is that more than 80% of those with HIV/AIDS are HETEROsexual, not gay. This is not a gay disease or an addict disease or a straight disease. This is a human disease and it seeks out humans. It is, yes, one of the most difficult diseases in the work to catch--not contagious by air or water; it requires a specific action, the sharing of bodily fluids--but it doesn't care who it infects.

I would love to think that the younger generation had learned the tough lesson from their elders and were protecting themselves, but asking people to think when in the throes of lust is not entirely reasonable. Especially young people who are, as we all know, "immortal."

The best rule is to always assume that the status of your partner is the opposite of yours. If you're positive, assume s/he is negative and protect him/her; if you're negative, assume s/he is positive and protect yourself. And remember that people lie. My own adopted son is now positive because he believed the lies of some hot guy who claimed that every test had come back negative. It turns out that such was not the case and that he knew it at the time, in fact was already undergoing treatment. He just cared more for the good feeling of unprotected fucking than for the life of his partners.

Protect yourself, because you can't count on anyone protecting YOU.

Then why do gay men contract the virus at an astronomically higher rate than normal people?

What "normal" people? If you mean heteros, they're not more normal than gays, just more common.

No, that's the worst information possible. "Checking" your partner beforehand won't help, and when properly done hookups are fine, particularly with regard to HIV risk.

It's condoms for anal and vaginal sex. You can count the people you can trust with your life on one hand. So it's condoms for anal and vaginal sex.

I'd love to know where you got your cra ppy information.

"'Teens are unaware of their risk of HIV and how to protect themselves,' Zaza said.'As parents and health professionals, and as educators, we need to take responsibility to help them learn about HIV.'"

Notice how in the article the alluded-to-information is missing.(No mention of what "safe sex" means. None.)

And then the point of it all: "Today, he takes one pill a day and has no side effects. He says his viral load is undetectable."

Pharma is the big winner out of all this failed social policy, and that's hardly an accident. It's just like the food industry promoting ingredients and policies which will result in the most stuff being eaten by consumers....

They don't. You're just racist, nationalistic and ignorant.

Also, going by your post, you must be saying lesbians are super normal.

Trash.

It's just like when someone dies of illegal drugs. We have been hearing those warnings for literally decades.
So when people overdose on illegal drugs and accidentally kill themselves, I have no sympathy for them whatsoever. Just hand them a Darwin Award.
And smoking warnings and science galore, but the knuckle dragging cave dwellers still smoke

Freud stated that homosexuals are fixated on their gentiles, so when it comes to sex, logic is out of the loop.

The gays own this situation.

No amount of back peddling and finger pointing will change that fact.

Homosexuality dug us into this hole and they expect us to pull them out.At a risk to our own health no less.

Its a math trick put out by religious liars
.
Don't fall for it
.
Our total AIDS head count is very low compared to AIDS head counts of larger non-gay population groups
.
For instance; Women account for one in four people living with HIV in the United States
http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/risk/gender/women/fact...
.
Baxter; if you are worried that you will come down with AIDS just because you are a gay person; It does NOT happen that way
.
GAY or NO GAY; get tested and practice safe sex
.
If you need more info; ask one of us; not some ignorant religious terrorist

Why is this so hard for people to understand? If you don't have sex, you don't get AIDS. If you form a committed relationship with someone else who also hasn't been having sex, and you are both monogamous, you won't get AIDS, Millions of people do this and manage not to get AIDS. Why do gays find that so hard?

Because you're sick, that's why.

AIDS worldwide is overwhelmingly a disease of heterosexuals. Go forth and defame heterosexuality, since that's your "logic." Same for people who still smoke or drink...very dangerous habits. Except it's not about any "argument" you can put forth - it's about your disordered fixation with homosexuality and your ignorant bigotry.

And by the way, you've posted you're a _divorced_ christianist mullah. No one need to listen to the likes of an hypocritical moron like you going on about "a committed relationship."

That's a deliberate distortion. It's only true because of the heterosexual AIDS epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa. In developed Western countries, AIDS remains mostly a disease of gay men and/or IV drug users. And if you don't believe me, ask the WHO or the CDC.

Gay men are more likely than straight men to contract AIDS if they receive anal sex from someone not using a condom, which most straight men don't do. It's quite difficult biologically for a man to contract AIDS from a woman. That's fact, not liberal propaganda about how "everyone is the same".

I do agree with the advice that everyone, gay or straight, should use a condom to be safe. But it is long past time to stop lying about AIDS in support of a liberal political agenda. Facts are facts.
