Jerry Brown should tell Bill Gates that if he doesn't stop outsourcing to India and bringing Indians here to work, he will have to leave the state because India and Indians are some of the ultimate homophobes, How about it Brownie. You wanted to boycott Arizona for trying to enforce our immigration laws. Isn't this even worse or does the amount of money involved justify lessening the reaction? If so, that would be a very Republican position, wouldn't it?

What about APPLE ?

All, or nearly all of their products are made in foreign countries. Why not make them here in the USA and employ AMERICANS, many of whom need a job ?

Apple is making some of its product here. Austin Texas and a new plant in Arizona for starters.

As to the original poster just what does jerry Brown have to do with Microsoft? And as far as that goes, Bill Gates is no longer CEO of MSFT. And neither one has anything to do with the topic at hand. As far as what MSFT produces other than its software it could just as well be made in the junkyard where the stuff ends up.

Well, the CEO of APPLE, Tim Cook is gay, and he should make all, or at least a lot more, of APPLE's products here in the USA to employ Americans, because so many people here need jobs.

I did email him a few times about it over the years.

I just resolved long ago NEVER to buy, or even touch, an APPLE product.

I'm not ruling anyone else out for punishment but it just seems there is a double standard with the Golden boys, Gates and Brown. Since they are both good and sensitive liberals, I would expect them to be on the forefront of boycotting India because they are so blatantly homophobic. But a large amount of money is involved so all this noble BS goes out the window in the name of profit. There's a certain amount of hippocracy there.

You're definitely right. Free trade and slave labor trumps everything. Morality, patriotism, human rights and decency will always take a back seat to profits with these corporations. So when these corporations try to come off as compassionate and concerned for illegal aliens, they're really just looking to reduce labor costs without any regard for anything else.

I agree.

And I don't think people have held APPLE accountable for this. I have read from time to time that many of the employees that work in factories that make APPLE products, or components for APPLE products, live in dormitories in the factories, packing in like sardines, in near-slave-like conditions for near-slave-like pay. I don't hear the Dems and Libs screaming about that.

And I am not, and have never bee, a fan of Microsoft, but between them and APPLE, I think Microsoft is the lesser of 2 Evils. I use Linux sometimes.

Actually Apple has addressed many of these issues, which plague many, many other companies as well. As to the dormitories. That's how much of China operates. Take it up with them.

So you endrose buying products from companies who operate basically slave-labor camps in foreign countries. Typical liberal Democrat.(In case you forgot, the DEMOCRATS fought a 4 year long war in THIS COUNTRY to preserve slavery which they ca;;ed their "cherished way of life" and "their peculiar institution". Typical Dems.

I don't know.

But what we DO KNOW is that workers who produce APPLE products live in slave-like conditions. How about acting on what we DO know ???

That guy is obviously a free trader, slave labor lover and pretty cocky to boot. You definitely have him pegged.
