Thank you Mr. President. This signing has a very special meaning to me as a victim of abuse and fraud as a former armed services member; future LGBT's will not have to suffer as I did and continue to do. I look forward to the day when Lgbt's can marry in all of the states.

It's a good day. Where is our good friend FRANK STANTON on this action? I am curious to hear his opinion, as are many others.

He's probably busy updating the master list from which he copies and pastes his right-wing garbage. Unless (and this would be even more pathetic) he actually goes to the trouble of typing and retyping the same drivel dozens of times per day.

Actually, we should all be grateful that he's hiding out, licking his wounds. I would just as soon not have his rants taking up space on my computer screen.

Frank-Dan has obviously been avoiding commenting on his earlier "Obamamaniac" remarks.

I have plenty of criticism for Obama; I think he mostly hasn't been enough of a "maniac" so to speak, but in this case I have to say "Score one for for the Big O"!

It is a major feather in his cap.

It is a good day when our military will once again be fighting for freedom and not against it.

President Obama & the Dems just won my vote back for 2012.

That makes 2 out of the 4 major gay rights issues done. ENDA is dead for 2 years, and DOMA will be handled by the courts.

Funny how Frank Stanton just disappeared -- couldn't take the humiliation, I guess.

I've seen recent comments by him but mainly concerning the aftermath of the signing. He hasn't addressed his previous, to me, obnoxious remarks on Obama.

And I don't think we should hold our breath!

I don't see it being repealed by Congress any time soon, so YES, the courts will have to take care of that.

There are already 2 cases in front of the 1st Circuit Appeals Court. Expect a ruling sometime in 2011 upholding the federal district court overtuning the federal aspect of DOMA.
