Yet, the media always seems to portray us as being in the upper 10% income bracket. As if being gay is somehow a "privilege" of the rich.

I've been poor and I've known many poor gay people.

I remember when our dinner table was the top of a footlocker, and our first set of chairs and a kitchen table cost us $5 at a garage sale, and they could barely stand up.

And they keep asking for more. Since the decisions came out the other day I have had emails from 8 different organizations asking for money. I give what I can afford, but really, I would like for them to stop for a while. I literally got 22 emails just this morning. They are not helping with the cause with this, cause I just delete them all. I have even quit looking at the subject line, just the sender.

Chad Griffin is my most favorite correspondent lately. I still get emails from the president. If I paid one dollar to everyone of the emails I get, I'd be broke.

However, it would be fun to get lunch with the Prez, on their dollar, hotel included. What is up with THAT offer? How do they make any money if you only need to donate three bucks?

Hon, you thought the fight was tough before?

What's coming down the pike at us will make all that seem like a beginner class at Pilate's. We're going to be fighting again over turf where we already won.

There is one way to undo the Courts, and they are going to try. They will tie the proposed Amendment to everything they can think of to make it really expensive to vote against.

Beneath it all, it will be at the center of 2014 -16 -18 and maybe even 2020. State house will be shifting radically, and with the improving economy, they'll have more money to do it. Citizen's United opened the floodgates.

It's going to be ugly and expensive. VERY VERY VERY expensive.

We will have to fight very very smart because, honestly, we can't afford to fight hard.

Our groups will have to work very closely with the DNC and DCCC to coordinate efforts. Sometimes the tactical actions (and inactions) will seem counter-intuitive because they are intended to serve a larger strategy.

Things are about to start getting seriously big league like you've never seen in your long lifetime.

As a guide, focus on your State House. Try to keep it's majority friendly. But hear this, when the Amendment reaches your State for a vote, it will be tied to issues that will make it's passage seem the lesser of two weevils. Important State and Local issues and projects will be held hostage to it's passage. It will be dirty, expensive and very ugly.

Yeah? Is that when you were living in South Hampton?

Poor guy, his Hampton lifestyle was poor to the point that his Gucci loafers were SO thin that when he stepped on a Kruegerand he could tell if it were heads or tails.

His mom had to make due with Beluga Caviar Helper.

His family was so unfortunate that they had to use the butler's FIRST name, instead of last one only.

Many days when he wanted to play tennis on their home court, there were LEAVES on the court!

He and his brother had to SHARE only one polo pony.

Yes, Europa had it rough. That's why he is whack today.

Yes, that is all very true, but they could at least give us a respite for a few days. Hell, I've been getting emails and phone calls from the Dems on a DAILY basis. I've given a lot, and will give more, but I still need a breather once in a while.

I've asked them to remove me from their mailing lists, and blocked their e-mails as spam.

The people I need to hear from have my 3rd tier emails and personal phone numbers ... and I have theirs. The mailing lists are for the hack levels. You are too old to be a herd hack.

Find out who the AFER and HRC ORGANIZERS are in your area and State and contact them directly. Inform them that if they hand you off to a mailing list, they won't get another cent. If you get so much as a single mass mailing, not another cent. Mean it, too.

This whole study done at UCLA must have done only locally there. Never heard of this study until now, so I know it didn't include me. LOL. I'm not poor, and don't live in poverty.

My father was a local 638 steamfitter. We were middle class.

I was poor when living with my boyfriend in the south, long after I left my parents home. I've certainly never made as good a living as my parents did, and that's true of many in my generation. It used to be that you could count on being financially better off than your parents when you became an adult, but that is no longer the case and has not been for a long time, and may never be again here in the U.S.(Thanks to The Democrats, The Obamanaic, and their cohorts, minions, sycophants, and fellow travelers).

Oh bullcrap. My family was poor as dirt. After graduating public high school I worked and paid my own way through community college and then UMSL and Washington Univ. I'm not wealthy, but I have been able to accumulate enough that if I lost my pension and Soc. Sec., I would still be able to support myself til I die. And leave money for my honey. You can make it in this world very well through hard work, help from friends, and a little luck. And I made lots of money in the market whenever a Democrat was in office. And usually lost some when Republicans were. So stuff your slam against the Democrats and the economy.

Democrats are Evil. PURE EVIL®. And you will never convince me otherwise of that FACT.(And I am NOT the only American to recognize and believe in that FACT !)

I can't decide if you are an idiot, or if you just say this stuff to provoke people. Either way, you're a waste of time and effort.

You have no idea just how much I have done just that. But sometimes you make such blatantly idiotic statements, I just have to.

By the way, I asked you last year, and someone else asked you on another thread recently, since you abhor our "socialism", are you going to refuse Soc. Sec. & Medicare? Inquiring minds want to know.

Why else to you PLASTER Topix with your controversial opinions, but to get the notice you so need. I DO ignore about 90% of your nonsense, but on occasion, you fart out the most IDIOTIC opinions, which are far more disturbing than the haters's taunts. You crow about your vast list of ex boyfriends, but come off like the most RAMPANT homophobe alive.

Either run with the hares, or run with the hounds, you can't do both.
