Two problems:

One is that the leaders of the ELCA cannot read the Bible and agree on whether it includes homosexuality as a sin or a good work.

The other is that there is not one iota of reliable and confirmed evidence that God created someone with a homosexuality orientation. That is a "supposition" that has been repeated enough that many believe it. However, since all people -heterosexual or homosexual or other - are born with original sin and total depravity, every person is, by nature, capable of any and every sin, sins which may seem natural to them, not because of God's creation which was good and perfect, but because of the inborn "sin which so easily besets us."

God's Laws are simple: Have Fun ! Don't hurt anybody ! Don't kill anything !

What's so hard about obeying those laws ?:)

And besides, at my ELCA church, "St. Martin's Second Reformed Lutheran Church and Microbrewery", we got rid of all our old bibles years ago. We use "Pastor Bob's Poetry and Home Beermaking Guide" instead.:)

That's because there is no god and thus he has created no one, gay, straight, or whitebread-and-mayo Lutheran.
