“Two lawmakers, Sens. Sam Slom and Mike Gabbard, spoke in opposition to the bill and criticized everything from the special session itself to the consequence they say gay marriage will have on society”.
Then they showed how the state of Massachusetts has totally collapsed after nearly a decade of marriage equality for same sex couples.
Right?
RIGHT?

Exactly ! EVERYTHING happened just as they said it would. In states and other jurisdictions that have granted marriage equality to their LGBT citizens, the state has collapsed, cities are in flames, bridges have fallen, tunnels have flooded, mothers are eating their children in the streets, and the blood is hip deep. THESE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED JUST AS THEY SAID THEY WOULD !

And I say: " WOO-HOO !:) FULLY HOMOSEXUALZING THE STATES ONE BY ONE ! The PLAN is working !:) "

The really tragic part is that, for the audience they're addressing, they don't *need* to show support. It's enough to scream, "PANIC!! PANIC!!! Everyone PANIC!!!!"

Their audience loves ANY excuse to run in circles screaming and panicking and flailing their arms about. They live for it.

Of course, they're none too bright, either.

Fabricated panic by fear-mongers who , apparently , do not have the capacity to do anything more constructive for society ; a sort of fool's stubbornness verging on pure malice .

Gabbard is the man who, before he became a senator, created the antigay group that caused all the trouble back in 1998 (the amendment that removed state constitutional protections from a bill that defined marriage as one woman/one man). He recently, as a senator, changed from the GOP to the Democrats so he could get some committee assignments. We tried to get the party to refuse, but they wouldn't listen. He said at the time that he now supported gay marriage. We all knew it was a lie. We were right.

Strangely, his daughter is now a Representative from Hawaii in Washington and is diametrically opposite her dear old daddy. She is great.

One side note: during the 1998 demonstrations trying to urge voters to support our side, one of Gabbard's sons, along with a friend, dressed in the most nastily stereotypical gay outfits they could assemble (including, of all things, Daisy Dukes!!) and joined the assemblage waving signs at drivers. They brought along a videographer to catch them so daddy could use the footage in a commercial to show us in the worst light. They got really upset when they discovered that some of our people were filming their people. They got even MORE upset when one of the women in our group pulled out a can of hairspray and covered the videocam's lens with sticky, mostly opaque, hair spray. The footage was never used.

Doesn't impress me. Hawaii's Constitution guaranteed marriage equality until bigots in the legislature removed it. The fact that they've finally gotten around to putting it back doesn't mean I'll be visiting Hawaii anytime soon.

And we won't miss you. Your anger and attitude are better suited to mainland cities.
