This is just now going to trial? There's something wrong with our justice system.

I think an appropriate punishment for this kid would be a public flogging (40 lashes with a good-quality whip), the word "murderer" permanently stamped on his forehead with a branding iron, and 20 years of community service.

This sorry excuse for a human I hope gets a life sentence with any chance of ever getting out. I hope he has a long life in prison.

How is such hate generated in a young mind? There is no possible way this young man did this without being taught by adults. When he took that gun and did what he did, he gave up all rights to a life. And yes it is crazy that a cold bloody killing with multiple witnesses is going to trial...3 years later.

This child just turned 14 when he commited this heinous crime. FOURTEEN! Where did he get the gun? Is Indiana one of those whacky, gun-loving red States? There MUST be other people complicit in this crime........

I have followed this case since the beginning. I remember first hearing about it like an hour or so after the murder took place. He should get life in prison with no parole. That IS legally permissible.

Brandon faces 53 years to life in adult prison because he didn't want to deal with a classmate who found him attractive. Ironic, isn't it?

Honey the gun is not the issue here. As Biker posted what causes such hate in a young mind that he would actually do this? The weapon used was this kids disturbed mind that caused the death.

Sorry, nothing less than the death penalty at age 18 is sufficient

He wasn't at least 18 years of age at the time, and you cannot execute ANYONE for ANYTHING if the crime was commited before the age of 18 years.

Too bad. He deserves it! The only saving grace will be that he will become someone's bitch in prison....

I disagree with the SCOTUS ruling that said you could not execute under the age of 18 years of age. If you can go into the U.S. military and kill people legally if you are at least 17 years of age, there should be no reason you can't exectue someone under the age of 18 yearsof age for a heinous crime.

SCOTUS makes mistakes sometimes. Hence, it should be replaced with the FOX Computer, because it will ALWAYS be Fair and Balanced.

You think a 14 yr old at school WITH A GUN is not part of the issue? I bet the victim would feel differently about that.... he might have lived if this turd had attacked him unarmed. The school was NEGLIGENT and bears some responsibility.

Since his guilt is hardly in question, who wants to take the bet that the defense is going to play the "homosexual panic" card??

Hand scrubbing skid marks out of Bubba's underwear and giving up his litle "straight" bumm. What a waste! he's almost certainly little closet case as are most of the other men in his good Kristian family.. Maybe he'll get lucky and Daddy will take good care of him.

From the piece; "The case has garnered international attention from gay and lesbian groups, who see King as a victim of homophobia." No kidding! and you see him as...... what? Idiot! Maybe he wouldn't give up his lunch money???
What "journalist" wrote this piece? Any of the boys' other classmates could have done as well..
