The ruling came in a case being handled by the Pro-Family Law Center, which promised an appeal of the drastic result.

"We are going to take this case right up the steps of the United States Supreme Court," said Richard D. Ackerman, who along with Scott Lively argued the case for the Pro-Family Law Center.

Considering that many heterosexual couples physically and/or sexually abuse their spouse and sometimes there own children, since when is opposite sex marriage an ideal that one ought to live up to.
Family values does not include hating other families because they are different from ones own. I think opposite sexed couples outhgt to prove they have marriages/families that are always 100% free from physical/sexual/or continual psychological abuse, or the marriages ought to be dissolved by the courts and the children ought to be moved into foster homes where there is a track record of no abuse of either spouse or children, regardless of whether the foster parents are gay or straight. What in the world ever gave you the idea that all heterosexual individuals or parents are perfect? Your reasoning is faulty. As is the reasoning of the institute you mentioned.
Your religious values are not shared by all Americans and I for one would be ashamed to belong to any of the right wing radical religions that are causing so much trouble in this country and others.

I don't think that there are 'many' family abuse cases, some no doubt but I guess abuse would need to be defined and we probably would disagree on that matter.

I beleive that most sociologists believe that children do much better in a two parent home that consists of one man and one woman. Children, I think you would agree, need input from both parents male and female to have an understanding of male female relationships...interaction, etc.

No family is ever perfect I would agree, and i don't think I have said that anywhere above, but the chances for a healthy family, stable family, would be better in what society considers today as normal, one man and one woman.

What bothers me most is this kick by pc types to condemn the use of certain words. So much so that they want these words defined as 'hate speech'. Since when is it right to allow a gay group to have a gay pride day but heterosexuals not allowed to be proud of who and what they are?

How could a meeting titled Family Values, be defined as hate speech? We all define family differently. Since when did we begin to define one groups family definition 'approved speech' but anothers considered 'hate speech'?

Why is the homosexual definition of family allowed to be discussed openly, but the heterosexual family not?

You are regrettably ill informed. Both the American Academy of Pediatricians, and the American Psychology Association have stated publically that the research supports dual parent same sex households as model parents. Studies have shown that children raised in these homes fare no worse than children raised in traditional households.
