Is it any wonder we have disregarded what you call the book of fairy tales and have turned society upside down for greed, power, materiality, and lust.
The fairy tale here being ssm. Only now to allow strangers to raise children that cannot bear children themselves. Indeed a filthy society we have become and we have earned our fate through ignorance and neglect of the natural function of our own body and mind. Nature reflects our own neglect of ourselves.
Unpure.
So you are against adoption?

"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."
James 1:27
-You have corrupted your religion...

"In you the orphan finds mercy."
Hosea 14:3
-Well, not in you, it seems...

You sound like a flake to me.

You are referring to an abnormal defect and comparing it to what IS normal and natural. I am certain a child brought up in a same sex environment will have a greater chance of 'becoming' gay than being brought up in a 'normal' parental environment. There is nothing normal or natural about it. Our govt and justice system are the modern day devil and we feed them through the tax code and they feed our youth to you and other monsters.
Zionism is the devil.
Your opinion is not fact. Do you have any facts that you would like to share?
What are the facts of same-sex marriage affecting our society negatively?
Has the divorce rate (currently around 50%) increased?
Have straights stopped getting married?

Who is the father of Joseph?
MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.

18 The Lord said to Moses,
2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘I am the Lord your God.
3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices.
4 You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God.
5 Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord.
6 “‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord.
7 “‘Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.
8 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor your father.
9 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.
10 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; that would dishonor you.
11 “‘Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.
12 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative.

16 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife; that would dishonor your brother.
17 “‘Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness.
18 “‘Do not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living.
19 “‘Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period.
20 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with her.
21 “‘Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.
22 “‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.
23 “‘Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion.
24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled.
25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.
26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled.
28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
29 “‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people.
30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’”
Reading carefully through all the above rules, I must admit that I enjoyed breaking numbers 19 and 20 but have never been tempted by any of the others.
As I understand you, I can try all of these things as long as I stay away from number 22.
Am I correct????

If you had paid any attention to my earlier posts you would know that I never disputed the meaning of those verses. Whenever someone asks a reasonable question you trot out this little bunch of verses and it looks as though you know nothing else about the 73 books that comprise the Bible.
Where are you Blake?
Chickened out again?
I too have complained about David from Pekin Ill having knowledge of only 6 verses in the Bible because it means there are 31,000 other verses he totally, completely ignores. If this discussion is about homosexuality and the Bible, those other 31,000 verses need to be included, and once David Moore has posted his 6 verses it is time to move on to the other 31,000 and see what they have to say. Of course David is just a troll and will keep posting the same old 6 verses as if no one has ever seen them before.

Having examined the other 31,000 verses I can assure Topix readers that the Bible is not qualified to tell us about homosexuality, or anything for that matter.

Obviously, you aren't able to walk away from God's many commands against keeping money, found in both Testaments. To ever find peace in this life or the next, and to avoid much suffering, you have one choice: repent of your money obsessed lifestyle choice and follow Jesus.

The Bible makes this quite clear:
•(a) "...none of you can be my disciple unless he gives up everything he has" (Luke 14:33);
•(b) "If you want to be perfect, go and sell all you have and give the money to the poor and you will have riches in heaven" (Matt. 19:21);
•(c) "Sell your possessions and give alms" (Luke 12:33);
•(d) "But give what is in your cups and plates to the poor, and everything will be clean for you" (Luke 11:41);
•(e) "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt,.... But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.... for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Matt. 6:19-21);
•(f) "How hardly shall they that have riches enter to the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:23);
•(g) "Truly, I say to you, it will be hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" (Matt. 19:23-24);
•(h) A certain ruler told Jesus that he had obeyed all the commandments from his youth up. But, Jesus said, "Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me" (Luke 18:22, Mark 10:21),
•and (i) Paul said, "For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as refuse, in order that I may gain Christ" (Phil. 3:8 RSV)

Homosexual acts have had a tremendously poor affect on the health of our society alone. Not to mention many other negatives.
Part of the divorce rate can be attributed to gay and straight pornography and how men view and treat women in general. Rape and assault.
People are marrying less and having children out of wedlock.
My car gets better gas mileage, not because of gays.

You can't tell me any child is better off without a female parent in the household and on that premise alone proves one of the many negatives homosexuality can and will have for years to come. But because of money, power, and votes the family structure has been distorted and sold out again. You had your space many years ago but it just wasn't enough and it still isn't.

In The Bible Has the Answer, apologist Henry Morris of the Creation Research Society in San Diego, California, attempted to justify the role assigned to women by the Bible. Never one to mince words, he confronted the issue head-on, by stating at the outset: "Some go so far as accusing the Bible of perpetuating female bondage through its archaic teachings. This unfortunate charge is ironic, for the Bible alone offers the only true freedom for women or men. While pagan cultures contemporary with Old Testament Israel treated women as the lowest form of chattel property, the Bible exalts women who found fulfillment in many ways. For instance, Hannah's life centered on her family (1 Sam. 1-2); Miriam excelled as a prophetess (Ex. 15:20); Deborah achieved greatness as a judge, military leader and poet (Judges 5); Esther successfully led her people through intriguing political conspiracies (Esther 4-7); and Naomi and Ruth sold real estate (Ruth4:3-9). Women aided in the defence of Thebez, an unnamed woman turned the tide of that battle against the wicked aggressor, Abimelech (Judges 9:50-55)." (The Bible has the Answer, Henry Morris, p. 239-240). The weakness of Morris's position lies in the fact that the individuals selected not only have minor roles in the overall biblical scheme of things, but have been inaccurately portrayed. The biblical descriptions associated with each of those cited don't exalt women as much as they describe their actions. Hannah was a maid. She wasn't exalted but merely wanted to become pregnant. Miriam didn't prophesy anything; she merely played a timbrel and sang (RSV). Deborah was a judge, but nowhere does it say she was out of the ordinary. She wasn't a military leader either; she merely gave some advice to one. Esther's role resembled that of a soap-opera heroine rather than a leader of her people. Naomi not only sold real estate, but sold Ruth as well!(This was an exceptionally poor example for Morris to chose). And the unnamed woman merely killed the attacking general; she didn't turn the tide of battle, like Samson with a jawbone. The groping-for-straws aspect of Morris's examples only highlights the rather pathetic portrayal of women by the Bible. Two of the most famous biblical women, Eve and Mary, are assigned less than commanding roles. Eve is given the distinction of having brought sin into the world, hardly a worthy role-model, while Mary was little more than a conduit for Jesus' entry. As this month's Commentary showed, there is no basis whatever for Morris's contention that "the Bible alone offers the only true freedom for women." Indeed, the evidence clearly proves the contrary. Can he produce one biblical verse that exalts or elevates womanhood per se, that is, without making the elevation dependent upon the performance of an act of subservience? Morris continues: "Furthermore, there are no distinctions of sex regarding salvation by faith in Christ or one's position before God (Ibid. p. 240)".

Well then by your own definition and rationalizing your concern for circumcision is a red herring. This is twice you've refused to refute my assertion of a child needing a female mother for nurturing and companionship as a parent. Depends on the circumstances.. Some females are not fit to "parents" and some shouldnt even let suckle on her teets because she was nothing but an animal to begin with. The kid would be better off with a set of gay parents. Remember in the national news several years ago the mother that drown all her children?. the other one that drove them into the river?. The Strait father having issues with child custody lures the 2 young boys in the house and sets it on fires incinerating the kids & himself?.. yeah right.ALWAYS better....And this post natal depression defense is a crock. This before ya spread your legs for a dozen roses or put your ass up in the air like a cat in heat.!

I asked him while he was trading under Byron why, unusually for a Catholic, he defended Charles Taze Russell and Joseph Smith. Catholics never bother about other religions and I wondered why he got so hot under the collar when I criticised them?

His obsession, to the complete exclusion of everything in those 73 books, is wrapped around that handful of verses.

I guess they have a set of values, and those values might be their "religion"? That's what they govern and rule after? So they might believe in something? That might be their God?

The definition of God might be what a man/ woman put as the highest?

The Bible repeatedly condemns homosexual behavior. This is supported by centuries of Christian and Jewish scholarship, tradition, and practice.

Romans 1:26-27 - For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
I Corinthians 6:9 (NIV)- Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

I've tried being nice and reasonable. Since you keep attacking me with your tales of fire and brimstone i'm just going to be honest.

I DO NOT CARE what your ancient story about magical sky fairies, slavery and murder says about what I do in the PRESENT DAY. Your book of 2000 years age, does not affect ME in anyway. I am an AGNOSTIC, I DO NOT follow your religion, therefore it does not affect how I should live MY life.

If I were a CHRISTIAN, or went to CHURCH it would be different. But seeing as I do not wish to follow your cult, nor wish to follow your services or even engage in contact with your WASP-superior-ideology, then you and I have no further need for conversation.

I'm not going into your church preaching MY dislike of your religion (even though I have every right to seeing how YOUR KIND have abused MY KIND and OTHERS for CENTURIES). Therefore I would gladly appreciate if YOU could leave me and other LGBT people ALONE.

Rant over.

I'm going to go read a different science fiction book, preferably one that hasn't caused mass war and genocide for the past 2000 years and delayed society's advancement by at least 1000 years.
