Brilliant. And true.

Hey Chuckles the Mangina.

Your post is patently offensive to EVERY couple who has needed assistance from fertility experts in order to conceive.

You do enjoy being a Kuntmare, don't you?

Did they have turkey basters back then, or did Mary get slipped "the REAL thing"? And therefore beget not only Jesus, but the phrase so often used during sex "Oh, My God"!

What were Mary's choices? She committed adultery, couldn't get an abortion, and risked getting stoned to death. Hmmmm...what does a virgin say when she can't hide a pregnancy and doesn't want to die by stoning?

Mary: "Um, you see it's like this. I was just minding my own business, and god decided he wanted me to be the mother of his son. Since I'm still a virgin, it had to be that. Yeah, oh yeah... that's what it was. That's my story and I'm sticking to it"

You are such a dolt. "Procreate" means to beget or bring forth offspring. There is no prerequisite that the parties participating in procreation be romantically linked or united. It just means BREEDING. Genetic materials are provided and combined to create human life.

Blondie,

You are going platinum on me... Here is a dictionary definition;

procreate

pro·cre·ate
[proh-kree-eyt] Show IPA verb, pro·cre·at·ed, pro·cre·at·ing.
verb (used with object)
1.
to beget or generate (offspring).
2.
to produce; bring into being.
verb (used without object)
3.
to beget offspring.
4.
to produce; bring into being.

A gay couple cannot produce a child. ONE of them may be able to procreate with another person OF THE OPPOSITE GENDER. Then those two 'beget offspring (3.).

I have a hairy butt, so it sometimes itches. You must have the same problem. Thanks for your concern.

Snicker.

The prophecy in the OT predicted a 'virgin', hence Joseph did not procreate Jesus with Mary.

Isaiah 7:14 (GW) So the Lord himself will give you this sign: A virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and she will name him Immanuel [God Is With Us].

It was nothing new to claim sex between gods and humans. What makes this prophecy and the fulfillment totally unique and astounding, is the clear claim of virgin birth.

That was pondered and ignorantly mocked by people like you for thousands of years... Until the 1940's when the first invitro pregnancy occurred. A virgin, it was discovered, could bear a child.

Can you rationally explain how a mistranslated fiction book accurately predicted that thousands of years ago?

However, that brings us back to the word 'procreation'. Third parties procreating with one member of a couple has always been a fact. Usually it is not considered a 'good thing'.

I'd also point out that adding your stupidity to hers didn't help your cause.

Chuckle.

So one fictional story proves another fictional story? Sure, that makes sense.

BTW, virgin births aren't common, but they do occur. All it takes is a little bump and grind. Do you ever research anything?

What is your evidence that surrogacy or sperm donation aren't usually considered a good thing? Is that a scientific opinion, or is it just YOUR opinion?

You should really take inventory of your own factual ignorance if you're going to throw around opinions as fact, such as calling others stupid, Greg.

Oddly, a great many of the depictions of Jesus show him as a European man with Blue eyes and dark blonde wavy hair.

Why do so many American Christians view Him that way?

I guess we like to create God in our own image.

So, couples who have children with the assistance of fertility specialists have not procreated?

You claimed that procreation requires NO outside assistance.

It's odd that you think this matters, when there are plenty of heterosexual couples who cannot produce a child, and they aren't treated any differently from those who can. Also, there are many who choose not to have children. Yet their marriages are not questioned.

Since procreation is irrelevant to legal marriage, your argument is pretty pointless.
