Anal sex

It is possible for both men and women to 'receive' it, although care is needed for it to be safe and comfortable.

Anal sex has always been a highly controversial subject, and the controversy that surrounds it looks set to continue into 2012 because evidence accumulates that this practice may sometimes lead to anal cancer.
What is it?

Anal sex means sexual activity involving the bottom in particular, the type of intercourse in which the penis goes into the anus. It's often referred to as 'rectal sex'.

Anal sex does carry considerable health risks, so please read our advice carefully.

Our impression is that anal sex has become rather more common in heterosexual couples, partly because they have watched 'blue movies' in which this activity so often occurs.

One small study carried out in 2009 suggested that in the UK, 30 per cent of pornographic DVDs feature rectal intercourse. Often, it is presented as something that is both routine and painless for women. In real life, this is not the case.

Other types of sexual activity which involve the anus include:

'postillionage' which means putting a finger into the partner's bottom
insertion of 'butt plugs' which are sex toys that dilate the anal opening and create a sensation of fullness
use of vibrators on or in the anus (please see cautionary note below)
'rimming' which is oral-anal contact; this carries a significant risk of infection
'fisting' which means putting the hand into the rectum; this activity is rare among heterosexual couples.

Parts that I found interesting:

Who does it?

There is a common misconception that anal sex is practised almost exclusively by gay men. This is certainly not the case.

It's widely claimed that one third of gay couples do not include anal intercourse in their lovemaking. According to one estimate, about a third of heterosexual couples have tried it from time to time.

It's thought that about 10 per cent of heterosexual couples have anal intercourse as a more regular feature of their lovemaking.

In absolute numbers, more heterosexual couples have anal sex than homosexual couples, because many more people are heterosexual.
Is it safe?

Anal sex, if practised with care, is possible for most couples.

It does, however, carry health risks and there are safer sexual practices that couples can enjoy.

The main health risks, which affect both heterosexual and homosexual couples, are described below.

I said NOTHING about Methodist churches or denominations, Patricia. So your oft repeated anecdote is irrelevant and non-responsive to my post.
<quoted text>
The entire denominations of Episcopalians, Presbyterians and Evangelical Lutherans aren't "renegade", Patricia. Your taking exception to the policies of the entire denomination, not the local decisions of "renegade" churches.
<quoted text>
And who has "cut off" the Episcopal, Presbyterian and Evangelical Lutheran denominations from the rest of Christianity, Patricia? Certainly not you or you Podunk independent Baptist congregation. You have neither the authority nor the clout to do so. The reality is, you and your congregation are irrelevant nothings within the larger community of Christianity.
you are to hostile to reason with.

i never mentioned a Indepent baptist church.

Perhaps it has something to do with my having 2 3/4 ft of colon removed in Nov 17, 2007. One becomes a bit more sensitive about such things after that happens. I am not into your suggestion of kissing your butt though. Nothing about that works with me.
Actually the removal wasn't such a bad thing, but the pain beforehand was pretty severe.
what does that have to do with anything i said?

why do you get on here and tell everyone PERSONAL stories about your life?

There, I've done it twice, doubling the opportunity for you to learn.
apparently YOU are afraid to seek out the TRUTH from the only place you can find it, THE BIBLE.

Wikipedia, is a ever changing man made website.
the HOLY BIBLE is the ancient NEVER changing word of God
and Noahide law is NOT in the bible
it is a man made philosophy used to excuse someone from obeying God's laws and instructions.

so you can't form an opinion without first hand experience of knowing it to be a fact......... thats not an opinion, that was a rude and mean insult against an old lady.

Perhaps because I am open about things in my life that I don't feel are secrets. You made several comments, a day or two ago, about me kissing your ass (or words similar to that), and I was stating that since I lost 2 3/4 feet of my colon, which is somewhat related to one's butt, I find the idea of kissing your butt, as not something that I would want to engage in.

I use self disclosure to show that I, unlike some people on this site, am not a phoney. Also I, like many others, have had problems in my life, and when a problem that I have had is similar to one that you currently are dealing with, I can empathize with you, and suggest possible ways of your getting help.

You seem to feel that my stating you have mental problems is some sort of an attack. It is not; it is a true statement of what your behavior on this site indicates, as many here have said.

However, it is not my view or someone else's view (who does not know you) that was the reason for my contacting both the Social Services of Kentucky and the Russell Springs police, but it was the claim reported here, that someone who knows you, has stated that you are both mentally ill and are not capable of caring for your mother, which I see as a situation that needs to be checked out.

You have several times indicated that someone who has issues with you and/or your mother is here telling things about you, so that seemed to indicate that there is a real issue. I can't be in Kentucky to check this out for myself, so I called on agencies whose job it is to deal with problems of that nature.

It also has nothing to do with God, the Bible or your opposition to SSM. The only connection would be is we could say that a seriously mentally ill person comes onto a discussion site for 4 years, and attacks other ,who are trying to discuss a topic, for being born.

I welcome your opposition to my opinions on God, etc. because it gives me an others an opportunity to look at both sides of an issue. I don't welcome people attacking other people just because they disagree and attacking them because of what or who they are rather than what they believe.

You have never discuss the posted topics here in the whole 4 years. You have spent all of your time, either telling others how evil and disgusting they are, lying about who you are, when we know who you are, and posting Bible verses, and preaching, neither of which have anything to do with the topics of discussion.

I am a person who, when he sees something that could be dangerous, does something about it, rather than sitting back and pretending I didn't hear, and hope for the best, and then find out later, as happened in Conn, that a person needed help and 28 people are now dead because that help came too late.

I am not, by that, suggesting that you are going to go postal, but you are clearly not operating with complete mental stability, and that can be much more dangerous than you might even imagine. When I was in rehab, one girl did commit suicide by smashing her car when she was traveling to her home, and another woman, who was a friend of mine, at the hospital, did attempt suicide while there, but someone found her before she went all the way, and put a stop to it.

Come on, nano, I am still giving you the benefit of the doubt, because I believed some of the things you said here, that you are a bit brighter than some others. Surely if you have been here any length of time, you should be able to see that the situation regarding Patty has nothing to do with stalking.

4 years of her posts, read the months of daily lies and daily attacks on others for saying truths she claimed were lies, and daily how she attacks the person rather than the message, and you might understand a bit of the rationale behind what PLH and others are talking about here.

Yes, Patty has been attacked by others too, but since I came here, which was 1 1/2 years after she started here, she was well into the personal attacks and telling lies about herself, so she has never been neither truthful nor on topic of whatever the thread was about since I cam here.

It is not her off-topic, or proselytizing though, that I take issue with, other than it is a royal pain to have to deal with someone who monopolizes the site with Bible verses, and personal threats of going to Hell, and refuses to respond to an actual refutation of something that might have been said regarding the posted topics.

She is a bigot and a hate monger, who just happens to also be mentally ill (homophobia is a recognized mental illness anyway), and I won't tolerate hate mongering, and I won't let a risk to others go undealt with it I can do something.

Not when you actually respond to the actual content of my posts using reason, Patricia. But this is what always happens every time we've had this particular conversation: you start talking about "renegade" churches and ignore the fact I'm referring to entire denominations of Christianity. Then when you can no longer avoid that fact, you blame me for your stupidity.

A better question is why do you tell personal stories about yourself, Patricia, and then whine when others comment on it.

The only slip up here is your constant interjecting into conversations of which you have no background knowledge and are too lazy to go back and learn the context of.
