Do you think that Patty would be accepted in an adult class to upgrade her basic school knowledge, or is there anything there for the teachers to work with? My concern, based on watching how she functions here, and having done so for over 2 years is that she is not teachable.
Putting her in a class would be a waste of the public's money or her own, if she had to pay for the classes, and a terrible waste of the teachers' time, IMO.
No she can't be taught, truth is relative to her, things can be 'true for now' and then they can be 'false for then' just to make sure she has her ducks in a row.

If it's zero point posting then she has to be cut-off, no sugar for pattie at all, not even a, "Hi", if we're going to use tough-love then it has to be blanket absolute silence! Why does this feel like an intervention?
.....maybe my wife is a prophet?
Well according to Patty, your wife is god.
Do you worship your god?
:P (You don't have to answer that, TMI)

But yes, forcing her to go cold turkey on comments will be a sight.

Poor Pattie - this is getting sad! If the bible has all the answers, why can't you answer a simple question?
If god doesn't want people to be gay, should they be celibate and alone for their entire life or should they enter into marriages with heterosexuals who they will never be attracted to and who they will never love the way the love someone of their own gender?
I'm starting to think you may not know the bible very well after all...

I'm so sorry to disappoint, she is strictly a solo gig, but there are some devout followers of Sappho in her regiment.

We live in Wales so you'd have been a little off target!

Except Mr Charrington didn't say that. What he said was:

"No one who was British deiscovered the Americas"

"the 'pilgrims' did not discover america"

"they [the Pilgrims] were not the FIRST settlers" (emphasis added)

The actual answer from your site states:

"The Pilgrims came to America from England. They were an oppressed religious group seeking religious freedom. They left for America in 1620."

This answer is factually correct although could be considered somewhat incomplete. Your summarization of it as fleeing from England in 1620 "to escape religious persecution in ENGLAND" is factually incorrect. The Pilgrims England and ultimately settled in city of Leiden in The Netherlands in 1609. In 1617 the Pilgrims became concerned about their long term viability as a congregation in the Netherlands and decided to seek permission to settle in English claimed territory in America. The initial group of Pilgrim colonists left The Netherlands for England in July 1620 on a ship named the Speedwell. In England, they joined up with other colonists hired by the investment company funding the voyage to America. The combined group of Pilgrims and hired colonists left England in September 1620 aboard the Mayflower.

So the Pilgrims were not felling religious persecution in England when they began their voyage on the Mayflower, nor had they even been living in England for more than a decade.
Pattiecake58 wrote:

NEW.
UNexplored, UNsettled and UNfounded.
Nope. The area was already inhabited by Native Americans for thousands of years.

"The native inhabitants of the region around Plymouth Colony were the various tribes of the Wampanoag people, who had lived there for some 10,000 years before the Europeans arrived."

what do you think the definition of PILGRIM is?
when i went to school
our history of the discovery of America consisted of the Pilgrims
Plymouth rock, the 3 ships, Columbus, the Native American indians.
No wonder you're an uneducated moron.

No, your synopsis of the Pilgrim's life immediately preceding their voyage to America is in fact a lie. The Pilgrims didn't live In England at the time they made their voyage to America; they lived in the Netherlands.

'death' is appointed unto all men once
and then the judgement.
when the bible says the result of sin is death, means our bodies being born under the fall of Adam,(sin nature) will die, but our spirits/souls will live on one place or the other.
I don't know what caused golems death.
but he was not all that old. perhaps you can ask passing through, as he seems to have known him beyond topix.
Eternal fire is symbolic of eternal death and nothing more. Gehenna was a pit kept burning near Jerusalem for the destruction of refuse as well as criminals. It is used often in the scriptures to symbolize complete destruction, not eternal torment.

which is wrong.
They'd have to read every single post on every page, for that to qualify. Do you do that? I don't. I skim, I look for the conversation threads that I'm directly involved in, but I don't pick through EVERY word. BOOORING. Plenty of conversations here are nothing but insult-slinging, and I have no interest in any of THAT nonsense.

Somewhere online, someone has posted THEIR answers to any number of my questions. If I wanted to hear people just recite canned answers, I could go there. But, we ALL could do that, and that would put an end to forums like this. Where's the fun in THAT? Direct, real-time interaction is far more interesting. I'm more interested in hearing what people have to say about their beliefs when they're "in the moment". You learn FAR more about a person's beliefs when you can ask them, directly, "What do you believe, and why do you believe it?" and then go from there.

Think of it this way: You've repeatedly told me that you've already explained these aspects of your beliefs "hundreds" of times. You've spent paragraph after paragraph, post after post, telling me this. Wouldn't it have been SHORTER and SIMPLER to have just provided me the answer, rather than WASTE huge blocks of text avoiding it?

That's like asking someone for directions which would take them 30 seconds to give, and then listening to them talk for 10 minutes about why they CAN'T give you directions. The directions would have been faster in the first place!
Pattiecake58 wrote:
one should not have to repeat themselves that many times.
Why not, when you're speaking to different people each time?

I'm on this site because I ENJOY communicating with people about these subjects. How strange would it be for me to GRIPE about spending time in these conversations? I'm here because I LIKE it. Each time a new person asks me to explain myself and my position, I THRILL at being able to tell it again to someone new. You make it sound like explaining your beliefs is a CHORE that you'd prefer to avoid. So why hang out in discussion forums?
Pattiecake58 wrote:

And we reach different conclusions, which sparks a debate on the subject. Shouldn't we try to find out WHY we have different perceptions of the same thing?
Pattiecake58 wrote:

I have the ability to seek MANY things. But I don't PRESUME what I'm seeking. If I simply DECIDE that I already know, why seek?
Pattiecake58 wrote:
you have the ability to behold creation in your vision and see that it is a CREATION of 'order and design' and that man can NOT re-create any of it from scratch.
I see TONS of disorder as well. I see things that, if they WERE deliberatly designed, would represent the height of cruelty and evil.
Pattiecake58 wrote:
what you DON'T have is the desire or will to seek GOD ... and know for yourself the truth.
I have the desire for truth. If it turns out that truth DOESN'T come from the supernatural, I'm open to it. Are you?
Pattiecake58 wrote:
until you muster up some genuine DESIRE ... nothing anyone says to you will matter one iota.
It sounds as though you will always accuse me of not having desire, unless I desire the same things as you.

So, fine. You're not up for answering questions about your beliefs, you resent conversation about the subject, and you're dismissive about any findings that differ from your own (without any questions or conversation about it).

I'll leave you alone. Have fun with... whatever you're here for.

I am dealing with it just fine.
my state including 42 other states ammended their state constitutions for heterosexual marriage ONLY.
Federal government can't and won't MAKE states mandate it against their will.
The US Supreme Court can indeed invalidate any portion of a state constitution found in conflict with the US constitution (hint for uneducated morons: The US Supreme Court is part of the judicial branch of the federal government). And it has invalidated state constitutional amendments on more than one occasion, including a case involving an anti-gay amendment in Colorado (se Romer v. Evans).

And while I believe the Supreme Court should invalidate state prohibitions against same sex marriage based on precedent, I nor anyone else can predict how the justices would decide to rule when such a case is brought before the court. However, even an adverse ruling against gays would no necessarily be the final word as even the Supreme Court itself has admitted they've gotten their initial rulings in equal protection cases wrong on occasion (see Plessy v Fergusson compared to Brown v Board of Education or Bowers v Hardwick compared to Lawrence v Texas).
