Oregon may be a moot point depending on how & when the 9th circuit rules.

EXACTLY my point in my argument that resources should be devoted to the federal courts, and not the state courts.

What resources can we devote to the federal courts which isn't already? The cases are going to court in 20+ states. What resources are they lacking?

Btw, Oregon has a federal suit in progress as well as a ballot initiative to overturn their state constitutional amendment.

If we could have gotten "Suspect Classification" some time back, these cases would be sailing through the courts at warp speed and Nationwide recognition would be here before year's end.

Where is "Suspect classification" listed in the U.S. Constitution ?

As I recall, according to the U.S. Constitution, ALL laws are SUPPOSED TO BE applied to EVERYONE, EQUALLY.

Maybe if you look at the parts where it says "Congress shall have the power to...."

Yeah, I know that part. I Still don't see "suspect classification" in the U.S. Constitution.

Try again !

Not surprisingly you obviously don't understand what suspect classification is.

It DOES apply to everyone equally.

Race- applies to ALL races.
Gender- applies to ALL genders.
Ethnicity- applies to ALL ethnicities.
Sexual orientation- applies to ALL sexual orientations.

It is to ensure laws don't single out ONE SPECIFIC race (or gender or ethnicity etc) for discrimination.

It is to ensure ALL are treated equally.

MILLIONS of things aren't in the constitution. If everything had to be spelled out specifically in the constitution it would be thousands of pages long.

The NM Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments today, but a decision from the bench is unlikely. A ruling is expected by the end of the year.

That means Hawaii is most likely to be #15, while NM can still beat out IL for #16.

And I don't see where the 2nd Amendment applied to the Canadians you told to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights!

You can knock Obama for his 57 States gaffe but you have far more egg on your face.

Thank you. It's amusing watching Fa Foxy jump all over the map. I love how he howls about States Rights and and being libertarian yet morphs instantly into a Federalist when he insists the F.F. & C.C. should apply to all state marriage laws.
