understand , but when do we begin... children who can witness two of the same engaged in emotion may not be able to know there is a difference
As Gunner said, kids at that age don't know the difference - and I really don't think they would care. They just see two adults that love each other - which in this day in age, is a lot better than the voilent alternative they get on TV, IMO.

Your logic is just slightly askew. Love isn't the world's norm either - war, hate, racism, etc., are. We, as adults, are terrible teachers - instead of leading by example, we tend nowadays to teach kids how to adapt to a violent and hateful world - always wary and cautious.

If homosexuality is indeed an inherited gene - as I pointed out, then any amount of exposure to it would not affect the child's development in any way, especially a book. I read Slaughter House 9 in grade school - it was a good read, but hardly affected my upbringing. Television violence on the other hand is not an inherited characteristic - instead, more of a learned experience if you will. Sesame Street is an excellent example - my daughter knew her alphabet by the time she was 3.

I was referring more to the love versus violence alternative than the homosexuality versus television alternative.

If gay marriages were the 'norm' we would have far less children. They can't reproduce and therefore need children from 'men and women' to 'increase'.
They are a pervertion of the norm.

Mormons and Catholics are the most outspoken about this, so they are hit hardest.
Just because a woman writes a fairytale story that makes two moms and their children look happy all the time and all the children are well adjusted and successful - is a fairytale.

I'm torn about banning it, but when they bring in the ACLU - that shows how desperate they are and shows me that the purpose of the book isn't to entertain - it is to recruit.

Never heard of artificial insemination or surrogate mothers, huh? I have many same-sex friends who have had chilren together - one lesbian couple has a heterosexual son who is approaching his masters degree at an Ivy League school - not bad for a couple "sinners," huh?

The divorce rate among gay and lesbian couples per capaita is much lower than hetrosexual couples - making homosexual relationships a more healthy environment for children.

Your "norm" is taken from a text book that has been re-written every 100 years since the beginning of that time. You have no idea what the word pervertion means - especially when using in the context the way you did.

I have the impression you'd advocate white hoods for all grade school children.

I've never heard a gay person say, "Let's go recruit some kids to be gay!" That's preposterous.

Lol...well you know, they do have like a gay biker gang in Utah - The Hell's Bangles - they recruit all the time at the Gap and follow the Latter Day Saints around door-to-door.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Pisces

Things are not always what they seem today, so be careful. Someone might appear to be completely honest but turn out later to have been fooling you in some way. Or a situation may seem quite clear-cut right now but forthcoming events will reveal that things are very different under the surface. So be wary about who and what you believe, and don't let anyone push you into making important decisions today because they may not be in your best interests.
