I agree 100%! The hardest is for a person in transistion. Your voice and appearance say one thing but your documentation may say another and people think you're trying to pull something. Where are they living? Under a rock? The trials and tribulations of transition are pretty well known by now, this isn't 1956. Granted, we are pretty rare, less than 1% but it's not a crime. Also it's not unknown. We probably got more ink and air time, in the last5 years than any other medical problem affecting this few people. Too bad it involves S-E-X! If it were any other kind of disorder, it would be ignored.

Also, transgendered women (MtF) are female physiologically and psychologically, and transgendered men (FtM) are male. Medically and scientifically they are what the chemicals in their bodies are, genetics can be easily superseded in such instances. We even overpower genetics and prevent lots of people from growing up as midgets now, we also correct our immune system, and many other changes that overpower or completely change the results from genetics, genetics is now just a fingerprint. So you need to learn some science before you continue to show how uneducated you are, and how low your IQ is.

Have you ever been in a ladies room? I've been in lots of them. They don't have urinals, they have stalls with doors. I love how you guys are so protective of what women might see. No woman in a ladies room has ever seen me naked. I've never let myself be seen in a ladies room any differently than outside the ladies room. We are Transexuals, not exhibitionists and definatly not pedophiles.
Why don't you threaten me too? You know, "If I ever see one of you coming out of a ladies room I'm gonna__________"(fill in the blanks) Yeah, and I'm going to have you arrested! Believe it or not, the laws against assault cover Transexuals Too.

Brighton does have a reputation for acceptance of GLBT and many flock there because of it. From the article it's not all bad, true there is discrimination even violence but that's everywhere, and worse in some other places.
I'm not convinced segregation of trans is the answer. Unisex toilets available is one thing but separate altogether I don't believe is the answer. Hospitals in the UK have gone back to separate wards (male/female) because the majority of people didn't like mixed. Mixing them again is not the solution. Most hospital wards have side rooms/cubicles available.
I agree with the title of Mx. It ought to be used everywhere as an option. Hopefully with Brighton leading the way, it in the future will be.

The real answer is I am a M to F Transexual. I use the ladies room for the same reason anyone uses a restroom. To relieve myself, Nothing more! I can't go in a mens room in a dress or skirt. It would be inconsistent. Furthermore, It is consistent that I use the ladies room as that is how I perceive myself.
