After a four-hour meeting of some the best minds in civil rights, business, education and the media, dozens of Black leaders from across the nation outlined a "Black agenda" that would be presented to President Barack Obama and Congress early next year. Full Story

Sadly, I had hoped that both terms would have been for the American people, not select groups of Americans or others.

As it has been.

HE didn't request this "meeting of the minds", did he? But those folks that are doing the presenting have, like every other group in America - the right to make their desires known to those they elect.

Bottomline, it's all about who BO thinks has a right for greater representation. I thought there was supposed to be a tighter knot on those who would lobby for their pet projects. It hasn't happened yet. There's taxation without representation, and then there is representation without taxation.

first why shouldn't aa expect politicians to meet the needs of their community for their vote, just like everyone else?

and these stupid comments 'we all americans'.
if we were just 'all americans' we wouldn't have situations that were specific to particular communities.

i'd be very disappointed if obama didn't already have a 'aa agenda' developed during his 1st term, and ready to go, right now.

First of all, a politician is supposed to represent ALL of his constituents and it does not appear that is what is happening here today with the case of our president.

Do you know what the words "unite", "united" and "unity" mean?

Are you aware that these words have important parts in the history of the UNITED States of AMERICA and are intended to be practiced in the UNITED States of AMERICA?

Please further be advised the American is to always be capitalized. You look like you fluke third grade if when you don't do it.

Lastly, we seek English here, what the hell is aa?

a group to meet blacks' needs? an agenda only for blacks? How about the commander in chief representing Americans, plain and simple.... all Americans, not a select group? these black Americans want to pull the race thing over and over, we can't seem to get RACE out of their thoughts....and to think that most if not all white democrats back this shit? Well, when you have a black president who is bright as hell and was given the opportunity to lead our nation ONLY because WE ALL believed he would lead our nation indiscriminately being that he is white/black. Hell I was willing to give him the respect that prez. deserves BUT HE HAS EARNED ANY RESPECT! he incites and promotes DIVISION which is the nations' extremely #1 problem. If we didn't have this division both parties would be able to sit down and negotiate in the nation's best interest.....there would be no time or room for biased, racist, discriminatory agendas. This black president DIDN'T WORK OUT. Aside from the fact that now we know his DREAM.

Do we really need hyphenated Americans? What's wrong with being Americans first of whatever descent they happen to be? The hyphen serves to divide Americans, plain and simple.

When any group has the state controlled agenda that enforces foot stomping on it and is giving total free reign even if they are imbeciles and have almost total say or power, they act like we see. Using responsible people of other backgrounds as pawns in their power desires and demanding them to pay for their flaws. This is on top of government decreed entitlements. Thus the system keeps moving in the direction that leads to national suicide in our case a multi cultural, diverse and political correct system that also has a generational issue that includes all and is expensive. I know that people living in poverty or in bad areas from birth were giving a bad break. But a half century of others paying to uplift with massive taxes and no responsible behavior from those who were wronged is now past the point of guilt and plain evil. Thus weapons are being bought by many who are silent by force. With plenty of ammo.

we can be just americans when we all just americans. but that's not now. if it were now we wouldn't have latino concerns and jewish concerns and womens concerns and aa concerns, etc.

i'll be satisfied when obama puts the power of the white house behind correcting the extreme issues in the aa community.

I have to ask, were you equally outraged when the President George W Bush administration had a Christian Evangelical Agenda?

Were you equally outraged when President George W Bush staffed the majority of lawyer position in the DOJ with graduates from The Pat Robertson School of Law?

Were you equally outraged when President George W Bush when he created the Office of Faith Based Initiatives?

or is your outrage only because for once groups other than WHITE EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS ARE GETTING SOME ATTENTION.

Oh and BTW any one with a functioning brain capable of thinking realizes that aa stands for African American especially considering the forum's topic

First of all I never expressed out rage I only asked questions and they were not addressed to you.
Second, aa if capitalizes could stand for Amer-Asian, Alcoholics Anonymous or many other things. I find it very offensive that someone would use lower case a' in aa to signify African-Americans.
