Honestly, the ones who do something will boycott the world. The rest will go about with their lives and tell the militant unhappy gays to move on and get out of their faces.

A recent poll of gays uncovered the fact that most gays have no plans to marry, and consider it silly. They however say, to each their own.

<quoted text>Really, I think you are liars. IN California, in 2000, the same sex marriages were invalidated and gays started boycotting the world. They started boycotting any business or person known to support normal marriages, they boycotted Chic-fil-A, and after Prop 8 they defaced churches, marched, marched on the Mormon Temple, and they even threaten to not support Obama unless he came out in full support of same sex marriage. In fact, the Supreme Court could in effect invalidate all same sex marriages until there is an amendment and with only 5 more state constitution bans we can call a Constitutional convention to ban all same sex marriages in all states and do exactly as we did with polygamy and tied the hands of Utah and Montana.
So, your ain't gonna happen is just your mouth flapping.
Marriage laws are te EXCLUSIVE purview of teh states as per the U.S. Constitution's Bil Of Rights. And several states have legalized "gay marriage". How would they be "invalidated" if the state legislatures and the states' highest courts have ok'd them ? The federal government certainly cannot invalidate them as they have no jurisdiction in the matter, as per The Bill Of Rights.

So you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

I guess you are too blinded by ignorance and hate to see the trends.

You'll learn to deal with it. And, really, since it doesn't affect you in any way, I'm sure the pain caused by stranger's marriages and families will be brief.

Unless you are completely insane, of course.

APA Resolution Opposing Child Sexual Abuse:

Whereas the American Psychological Association is steadfast in its stand against the sexual abuse of children, and

Whereas the welfare, appropriate treatment and protection of children is a priority of the highest order for the American Psychological Association, and

Whereas the Committee on Children, Youth, and Families of the American Psychological Association was established in 1986 to "…contribute to the formulation and support of policies that facilitate the optimal development of children and youth within families…", and

Whereas children who have been sexually abused often experience health problems, eating disorders, learning difficulties, behavioral problems, fearfulness, social withdrawal, anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts, and

Whereas psychologists as researchers, educators, service providers and policy advocates have played important roles in advancing knowledge regarding the consequences, effective treatment, and prevention of child sexual abuse, and

Whereas the vast body of research studies published by the American Psychological Association over the past 20 years has advanced the field and contributed to the development of sound public policy, and

Whereas the American Psychological Association repudiates and disassociates itself from any organization or publication that advocates sexual interaction between children and adults,

Therefore, be it resolved that the American Psychological Association reaffirms its long established position that sexual relations between children and adults, are abusive, exploitive, reprehensible and properly punishable by law.

Please cite your sources. The following will NOT be accepted: faux shnews, whirlednutsdaily, the sludge report, annie whiner coulter, or the fundie nuts.
Additionally, the fundamental right of marriage does not depend on how many choose to exercise that right. It is the right of the individual, not of any class or group.

<quoted text>I could care less what you accept. You likely accept APA as a source, and they recently were called before the Senate, because they posted the Rind Study and supported the idea that pedophilia is not harmful to children.
False.

The APA has never supported child sexual abuse, and has always held it is harmful.

The Rind study did not say pedophilia is not harmful. It questioned the severity and duration of the harm caused, but never claimed it was not harmful. It concluded the harm is not always severe and permanent, but never claimed it was not harmful

Recent? Congress addressed the study in 1999. Representative Brian Baird, who has a PhD in clinical psychology, was one of the 13 Congressmen to abstain from the condemnation of the study, stated that of the 535 members of the House and Senate less than 10 had actually read the study, and even fewer were qualified to evaluate it based on its merit.

You are repeating blatant lies to support your irrational and harmful prejudice. But we understand lies and fear mongering are your best tools to promote your irrational prejudice and discrimination.

<quoted text>Great post. They did a study regarding the lack of same sex marriages in Massachusetts and the fact that they had to recruit gays from out of state to marry in California from May to Nov. 2008.
No recruitment was necessary and you cite nothing to support your irrational assertion.

The 36,000 gay people who married before prop 8 took away that fundamental right were voluntary. The fact some came form other states only demonstrates it is important for many, especially those couples with children, just as some still travel to Canada or to the several states and countries that now recognize marriage equality under the law. Others wait for recognition from their home state and/or the federal government.

What will the creator of this "poll" do when State bans against SSM are invalidated just like bans against inter-racial marriage?

1) Insist it was voter fraud

2) Insist it was from free gifts paid for by tax payers

3) Claim it's another step toward socialism (Which is funny if one knows our Pledge of Allegiance was written by a socialist minister!)

4) Form another tax exempt group and pose as victims

5)(And the least likely response) Grow up!
