Sally Ride, First Woman in Space, Died ‘Because She Was Gay’

"Scientists" from the Family Research Institute claim that astronaut Sally Ride didn’t die at 61 just because she had pancreatic cancer, but the fact that she was a lesbian contributed to her early demise.

“Most women live until their 80s. Something strange afoot? Ride was married to a fellow astronaut [Steve Hawley] from 1982 to 1987. But it was just revealed she had a ‘long time lesbian relationship’ of 27 years,” the institute said, according to Right Wing Watch.

“Do the math: her 27 year relationship with a professor of school psychology (and co-founder of Sally Ride’s company) means that she got into that relationship in 1985, smack in the middle of her marriage.” The FRI goes on: “‘It would appear that her childhood friend broke up her marriage. And Sally may have paid with some of her lifespan.”

I can't help wondering if these are the same "scientists" who peer reviewed reparative therapy and decided a failure rate of 99.99% was within acceptable limits for quality healthcare.

This organization is truly delusional.....Sally Ride was an amazing woman, and being married DIDN'T mean she was bisexual......just that she was unable to come to terms with her sexual orientation earlier in her life.....and her being a Lesbian in a 27 year relationship had NOTHING to do with her dying early from Cancer!!!

There is NO EVIDENCE that the claim is true and there is also no mental issues associated with being Gay, Lesbian or Bisexual......and many things can take years off of a person's lifespan like drugs, smoking, diet, alcohol consumption and even high risk sexual activity.....but one's sexual orientation is not one of them!!!

I don't have to prove she was born a Lesbian.......what I know is that for whatever reason, she came to terms with her sexual orientation later in her life, this is not uncommon.....nor does it mean it was a choice.......it just means that back in her younger days, being out as a Gay or Lesbian person could get one thrown in jail, or a mental institution just because of society's understanding back in the 50's and 60's.

There are studies that clearly show being Gay or Lesbian is as innate as being Straight is.......they have also shown this to be true in PET scans as well!!!

When there are enough government benefits for remembering that you were born queer to use on the tax-forms, everyone will bankrupt the failed government.
