So ... are they going to cover all of our costs to get them to see reason?

And yet they, including this anti-99%-of-Americans governor, will continue to do all they can to drag out the eventual guarantees of equality in order to make gays suffer as much and as long as possible.

I'm sure the stupid filth in question is still a Birther and a Creationist, even if he has awoken from his stupor sufficiently to figure out the demographics regarding marriage equality.

And having come to his sudden realization, he's probably now off to enact his next trans vaginal problem requirement for women as a condition to get their hair done at a salon.

He will support equality as soon as he sees a benefit from his anticipated voters. That is the way he handled the union issue in Wisconsin. He ended collective bargaining for all union state employees, but he exempted the police and fire fighters. Why, they tend to be split voters whereas the teachers tend to be mostly Democratic voters. He was worried about his voters with little regard for principle. Typical.

Does anyone recall that the roots of the Republican party were in opposition to slavery? Since slavery was the status quo for much of the US at the time, this hardly made them "conservative." Even after they sold out to big business during the Gilded Age, they still produced reformers like Teddy Roosevelt and Governor LaFollette.

Nor did the get many votes in the South till well after WWII.

It is interesting how their idealogy changed over the years.

A bit off topic I know, but let's also remember that it was just last month the State of Mississippi finally banned slavery.

Yeah, isn't that ironic. Everyone should sing Glory, Glory Hallelujah.
