Wow somebody in a position of import is gay.

It's nice an all and I'm glad he made the decision but it might have had a bit more of an impact had he done so while he owned the Pirates.

He knew better to come out while he still owned the team. One, he wouldn't be respected anymore by most of his players and second, it would have hurt his pocketbook.
So that's why you're still in the closet.

Ahh, good old closet banter.

So, on average, how many people, per day, wince when they look at you. Family members do not count.

I agree he should have come out while he still owned the Pirates, but I'm sure he didn't want them to start calling the team the "ButtPirates"......

Oh c'mon, I can't believe non of the usual anti-gay trolls came up with that one already!

Now if we could just get some of these millionaire players to come out while still playing.

How about showing a little courage.

Can't help but notice that you're obsessed with sucking a penis that's encrusted with fecal matter. Odd, because none of the gay men I know would even consider doing such a thing.

Whatever floats your boat, NoIQ. I hope you brush your teeth well when you're finished with that particular activity.

More interesting than his former ownership of a sports team is his chairmanship of a major new company. One could hope that this will influence the outlook of some of the papers in conservative cities.

Haters Haters Haters, cannot stay away from gay sites any more than a fly can stay away from a big bowl of creamy potato salad at a picnic.

Why are you here, what joy do you get out of sniffing though every gay site you can get your Cheetos stained hands upon? What are you getting out of it?

You will see more and more administrative people come forth and claim their faith to antichrist. The excesses and greed of America being exposed at all levels.
A gay in every bush.

The corporations getting huge government subsidies that employ the players are already "out".
I'm in agreement with you that all the homosexuals in the professional sports industry should use the mass-media to publicize what they do in their bedrooms.

Then read up on Gresham's Law to see what will happen to public support or interest in the industry will inevitably ensue:

So it's okay for all the heteros to "publicize what they do in their bedrooms", but not for the gay players?

The overwhelming majority of the public in general- and even sports fans in particular- know there are gay players in EVERY sport.

The first openly gay one in each sport will be news for about 5 minutes; then it's back to the game.

OK, so professional sports are supposed to focus on homosexuality and use its media as another venue to talk to fans and people in general about more queer garbage?
Team owners will find more resistance from the voters in getting more public subsidies after sports becomes another venue for spewing pro-homosexual propaganda to children.
Jerry Sandusky is a cautionary tale of what happens when known homosexuals become synonymous with sports.
