Maybe he can bring some of the corpses down with him, and help clean up the mountain.

I'm serious. From what I have read over the years, Mt. Everest is a mess, littered with corpses, other human remains, and teh hundreds of tons of trash they leave there. It's a disgrace !

Some people HAVE cleared some corpses off the mountain along with tons of trash and I applaud them for it.

It's too bad that humans trash and despoil every part of nature they come in contact with.

IF YOU BRING IT UP THERE, THEN BRING IT DOWN FROM THERE ! UNABLE OR UNWILLING TO DO THAT ? THEN DON'T GO THERE !

This is the main reason I fear our possible exploration of Europa. We will destroy any life we find there, and despoil a pristine environment with our trash. It's our nature.......:(

Let the frozen corpses be. Some future paleontologist will excavate the human remains, just as we today excavate mammoths.

And what of all the hundreds of tons of human refuse, such as oxygen bottles, clothing, trash, and other stuff that people have left up there on what used to be a pristine wilderness, that is sacred to many ?

Some people have voluntarily cleaned up small portions of the mountain, hauling down tons of trash, but what about the rest ?

Here's an idea....You can volunteer yourself and time. Let us know when you've completed your quest.

um. I moved TO sunny and warm (actually HOT !) southern Arizona TO GET AWAY FROM the -15 degree F cold and snow of New York. So I don't think I will ever want to climb -80 F Mount Everest to pick up trash.

HERE'S AN IDEA: DON'T GO THERE AND FURTHER POLLUTE THE ENVIRONMENT THEIR WITH TRASH AND CORPSES.

Sorry. That won't work. It's human nature to trash and despoil and destroy our environment.

Humph, that is exactly why that moron FaFoxy moved to Arizona. I wonder if you have seen him, he won't be tough to miss, hideous middle aged pony tail, the sure sign of someone in midlife crisis, trying to hold onto youth long gone, instead of being who he is. He also is a horrible self loathing homophobe. Steer clear of him, if you know what's good for you.

What a stupid opinion. Here, someone is trying to do something symbolic for the LGBT community and that is all you can think of? Uh, it's a MOUNTAIN, the tallest in the world. You could leave a thousand bodies up there and probably no one would see them. I have made plans to be scattered at the top of Palm Springs Tram area, in the stunning mountains with the killer views.

I actually find the body farm kind of cool. No one was forced up there, and if they had to die doing what they enjoyed, why not let them rest in peace?

as someone above said, in the future, they will be fascinating time capsules, like the bog man they found in, I think Germany, who had been preserved for like 5000 years. They learned ENDLESS knowledge from his clothing and what he ate, and his teeth and everything like that.

I am sure in the future they will be able to teleport up there, ala Star Trek, and collect the bodies you are so worried about.

I wonder if Foxy has half the level of concern about oil spills, transmission towers on prominent peaks (like Mount Lemon), green house gas, wild fires, or Centralia, Pennsylvania.

Oh, who knows what's going in that head? Of all the problems in this tired old world, HE is worried about 20 dead bodies on the biggest mountain in the world.

God, he is a tool.

Its not 20, it's actually a couple of hundred. And you can see images of them on the web.

And more than the corpses, what about the hundreds (thousands ?) of tons of garbage left on Mount Everest, K2, and other mountains that used to be pristine wilderness areas until humans decided to spoil them ?

Is anyone worried about pollution in the places people actuall live? Is anyone worried about toxic chemicals rather than a few pounds of frozen waste?

Tons of garbage? I hardly think so, given that all the garbage was carried in I'm someone"s back

One: this is about some one trying to make a stand for gay rights. Two: I have never heard anyone worry about something so insignificant or silly in my life.

Stop being a self loathing homophobe and go clean up Phoenix if you're so worried about pollution, or go walk a beach on one of the coasts on one of those big clean up days and help pick up the tons of trash that float ashore every day.

I swear, you're sounding more and more like FaFoxy every day. there must be some terrible poison in the Phoenix area water system that is making you act like he does.

YOu've never read FaFoxy's posts then. HE is terrified of his own sexuality and does everything to avoid it and distance himself, but that would be as futile as YOU fighting your heterosexuality. HE is a homophobe.

A lot of sad scared men who realize they are gay, move heaven and earth to deny it, they too are self loathing homophobes and cause more trouble than they are worth. Look at that poor chump, I go blank on his name, the politician who got popped in the airport restroom. HE was HIGHLY antagonistic to gay rights, for he was trying to deny and hide, thus HIS homophobia.
