And that alone explains why the right wing would consider sending troops to "liberate." Just like they did in Iraq.

Can you imagine what a trillion dollars in renewable energy research would have done for the world. But no. We chose the alternative of decimating the resources of another country and delivering it into the hands of thugs who will probably turn out to be no better than the thugs we liberated it from. And the oil is still not flowing--much less repaying the costs of the "liberation."

And once again the hypocrisy of Democrats and libs is shown when it comes to free speech because when they don't like what is being said, they just shout you down and resort to name-calling. Josef Stalin and The Obamaniac are PROUD of you!:)

Well, ya got a point there.

But I still say it was worth getting rid of Saddam. Saddam invaded Iran. Saddam invaded Kuwait. Saddam invaded Saudi Arabia. Saddam attacked Israel with ballistic missiles, something never done since Hitler attacked the UK.

Exactly how many countries does a dictator get to invade and attack before you get rid of him ?

But that's just it: These armchair tee baggrz aren't suggesting an overt military confrontation with Russia over Ukraine, just as they didn't when Bush the dwi was in office regarding Russia and Georgia. And neither are the R. Congress members.

They are complaining without substance about Obama due in large part to their severe, unacknowledged racism. That's why they can never answer the question of what they'd be doing differently vis a vis Putin now.

Hey racist pedo, your ignorance is showing again. Through most of that time Saddam was a US proxy (although the US was supporting Iran with positioning intelligence as well as Iraq with all the arms during their long war.) Even the Kuwait thing was disingenuously greenlighted by a US Ambassador in the region.

So, cretin pedo, how many US troops to Ukraine? Be specific about something besides your email address with 14 year old topix posters.

How many conservatives know that the US put Saddam in power?

How many conservatives know that the US put the Taliban in power?

How many conservatives know that the Shah of Iran was just as despotic as Saddam Hussein?

What makes anyone think our next meddling in others' affairs will turn out any better?

Well, our meddling in World War I at the insistence of DEMOCRAT Wilson certainly led to catastrophe later on. That is certainly one war we never should have gotten involved in.(My maternal grandfather was a U.S. Marine in France in World War I).

Pedo, you avoided the matter of US involvement in creating all those ugly invasions by despots you listed. Not to mention all the US invasions you'd prefer not to invoke. You weak minded, sick, racist tee baggr.

How many US troops to Ukraine now, trash? Be specific.

You conveniently refuse to mention that the U.S.A. Great Britain, and Russia all signed a LEGALLY BINDING TREAT GUARANTEEING UKRAINE'S BORDERS AS INVIOLABLE in exchange for Ukraine giving up all of it's nuclear weapons. Ukraine fulfilled it's obligation of this treaty. The U.S.A., Great Britain, and Russia, have violated the treaty. Because of Russia's invasion and ongoing occupation of Ukraine, some Ukrainian lawmakers are now publicly saying that it was a huge mistake for Ukraine to give up it;s nuclear weapons.
Why is Putin's invasions of Georgia and Ukraine different from Hitler's invasions of Austria, and Hitler's and Stalin's invasion of Poland which directly caused World War II ? And since the west refuses to do anything to prevent these invasions and occupations, what is there to stop Putin from doing it again, and from Putin's point of view. why should he not continue to invade and occupy other countries ?
If we went to war to stop Hitler from invading and occupying other countries, then that was a huge mistake on our part, because we are clearly not reacting the same way when Putin does exactly the same thing.
Or do you favor the abolishment of NATO ?
Very good post.

To me personally, this makes no sense at all. I started to explain why, but I'll give the benefit of the doubt here, simply documenting that I cannot make sense of this.

It all an extension of their propoganda laws. If the police investigate and fin it was a hate crime then that will get publicity of sorts and they can't have that. Besides that, they've had the 'ignore it and it'll go away' unofficial policy for a long time
This is sensible, sure. I guess they don't know these activists very well. They *will* harp on this for years if necessary.

As much as people don't like it, it's a part of human nature.

If you live beside two neighbors and one is a nasty piece of work and one is a gentle, kind, helpful person, you will feel more concern if the house of the latter burns down than if it were the house of the former.

Amusingly, I am seeing *some* passing pro-gay sentiment online that shows that the pro-gay don't care about the hardship Russia is bringing upon itself.

Wow, wonder why. I think it might have something to do with their monstrous treatment of a certain minority, and the fact that this makes it difficult to sympathize with the hardship they are extremely likely to create for themselves.

I'll explain, someone posted they were Satanists. I made a comment, joke hence the use of LOL that if they were they wouldn't be anti-gay. After all the stereotypical image of Satanist being immoral and basically up for anything sex wise. Now let me add, I'm not agreeing with that image, merely pointing it out.

Not sure if the activists outside of Russia will, but those inside... we can only hope
