In all cases it's usually the parent of the adult offspring denying that their offspring is gay, or a parental conflict. Why do you ignore the details?

It is what the young lady's parents are claiming, but according to the article, such charges are a bit of a cultural tradition for parents whose child has run off with someone they do not approve of in India. Arranged marriages are the norm, falling in love with somebody else throws a monkey wrench into the arrangement. It's intended to coerce their kid to come home using the threat of the law. It's just novel here because of whom the young woman apparently ran off with.

It would have been neat if you were actually going to provide one.

Maybe if you knew something about them, it might have helped.

Sweetie, if you had bothered to read the article, you would now know that such charges are a bit of a cultural tradition when a son or daughter runs off with someone their parents don't approve of and haven't entered into an agreement with them to marry you. It's intended to bring the happy couple back home to their families where they belong by threatening them with jail time. It's only unique in this case because of whom she ran off with.
Portiai the Rossi wrote:
Who says that she is an adult?
The law, it says 18 is legal adulthood. The young woman is 22. In case you are not bright enough to figure this out on your own, 22 is an age that follows 18.

American definition?
Nope, Indian. Feel free to look it up.

Sorry, you do not get to impose American immorality such as slavery, white supremacy, abortion, sex as often, early as age 14 and younger, unsupervised dating and homosexual aversions.
No imposition of morality on anyone's part, American or otherwise buttercup and it would help if you could have at least faked knowing anything about India except that it wasn't where you are.

This too shall eventually change for the better of all humankind, whether you want it to or not, whether you agree or not, whether you like it or not. We shall overcome and it be fools like you in that path. Move or get run over, your choice.

here is a second

In the summer of 2006, seven young Black lesbians from New Jersey—Patreese Johnson, Renata Hill, Venice Brown, Terrain Dandridge, Chenese Loyal, Lania Daniels, and Khamysha Coates—were hanging out on the pier in New York City's West Village when Dwayne Buckle, a man selling DVDs on the street, sexually propositioned Patreese. Refusing to take no for an answer, he followed them down the street, insulting and threatening them:“I’ll **** you straight, sweetheart!”

It is important to understand that all seven women knew of another young woman named Sakia Gunn, who had been stabbed to death under very similar circumstances—by a pair of highly aggressive, verbally abusive male strangers. At least some of the seven had known Sakia personally.

During the resulting confrontation, Buckle first spat in Renata’s face and threw his lit cigarette at her, then he yanked another’s hair, pulling her towards him, and then began strangling Renata. A fight broke out, during which Patreese Johnson, 4 feet 11 inches tall and 95 pounds, produced a small knife from her bag to stop Buckle from choking her friend—a knife she carried to protect herself when she came home alone from her late-night job.

Two male onlookers, one of whom had a knife, ran over to physically deal with Buckle in order to help the women. Buckle, who ended up hospitalized for five days with stomach and liver lacerations, initially reported on at least two occasions that the men—not the women—had attacked him. What’s more, Patreese’s knife was never tested for DNA, the men who beat Buckle were never questioned by police, and the whole incident was captured on surveillance video. Yet the women ended up on trial for attempted murder. Dwayne Buckle testified against them.

The media coverage was savage, calling the women such things as a “wolf pack of lesbians.” The pro bono lawyers for the young lesbians would later have to buy the public record of the case since the judge, Edward J. McLaughlin (who openly taunted and expressed contempt for the women in front of the jury all throughout the trial), would not release it. As of late August 2007, the defense team still didn’t have a copy of the security camera video footage. And after the better part of one year spent sitting in jail, four of the seven women were sentenced in June 2007—reportedly by an all-white jury of mostly women—to jail terms ranging from 3 1/2 to 11 years. The oldest of the women was 24, and two of them are mothers of small children.

Well where do I begin? This post is so full of misinformation....
Let's begin with "White Germany". What does that mean? Is that the snowy German Alps. I'm part German and I've never known about "white Germany" Moving on, In your hatred of America, you ignore that Russia didn't do away with Feudal Serfdom until the 1870s. Feudal Serfdom is what Europeans called slavery when they were doing it to their people, it sounds nicer. But Wait, there's more! Brazil didn't outlaw Slavery until 1888! Don't touch that dial! In many Arab countries still maintains slavery today as we speak. But the real kicker is that Israel has yet to outlaw slavery.
It's always fun to blame the US, even if it's not true!

<quoted text>It is not my job to give you a clue. Your dad was supposed to do that. Since I spent 6 months in India and another 4 in Bangladesh, along with having friends from India, don't you feel stupid. But you are familiar with those feelings. If you have a clue, you would know that India lives under Hindu religious law, and cultural and religious laws are the laws. Some modern Indians have rejected those laws, especially here in the states. You probably do not know that like the Catholic Philippines they also do not have divorces. Since, you have not figure it out age 18 is a legal designation assigned in the US. In India 18 year old women do not get that distinction, unless their dads give it to them. Since 187 countries are completely sane and America was the last to eliminate slavery and antisemitism was rampant in white Germany, rest assured the rest of the world is not following your nonsense. Russia proved that with a 190 to 2 vote against same sex marriage. Rumor has it that the two opposition votes were two gay men who were dating. You see, even in America, the 13 deviant states will soon align with the 37 sane states for the betterment of mankind.
