Surely not. They wouldn't be resorting to fear-mongering and bigotry to win the election now would they?

You can't say that the GOP is inclusive when all it does it excludes one minority after another and resorts to appeals bigotry to win.

Reprehensible!

Yup...they are out of tricks....So they have to resort to ANYTHNG to try to get votes. I had one robocall from Huckabee asking me to support Todd Akin (R). I just hung up and laughed. Cast my vote today for Claire McCaskill (D). YES!

In CA Republican registration is now at approximately 29%, can't wait for it to be between 10-15% so they are totally meaningless. It will be interesting to see what replaces them, maybe 2 parties 1 for physical conservatives and 1 for haters (of course they won't call themselves haters).

GOP politicians are used to "dirty blows".
Like Mittens, they'll say anything to get the vote.

I didn't get any calls from the hate-mongers, but I did go out and vote this morning. And I did something I have never done in 45+ years of voting. I voted a straight Democratic ticket.

I forgot to put in my previous post. I also voted for 3 property tax increases, just so all my straight neighbors will have to pay more in taxes. Warms my little heart.

I wish Marco Rubio was simply a do nothing senator who is conning enough to give himself more worth than he will ever deserve.

He even double billed the GOP and got away with it plus he is as self serving as any Miami-dade Cuban politico.

Let me add bigot and hypocrite bible thumper to his resume.

Last state election the three self serving, useless ,Tea party disasters got in office ,Rick Scott, Marco Rubio and Pam Bondi due to lousy but typical Hispanic and Black Democrat state election turn out.

I wish 1/4 as many as voting now would have voted than. Let us hope for the best ,things are looking good for Pres Obama and Bill Nelson.

"Marco Rubio's lavish rise to the top"

About $600,000 in contributions was stowed in two inconspicuous political committees controlled by Rubio, now the Republican front-runner for the U.S. Senate, and his wife. A St. Petersburg Times/Miami Herald analysis of the expenses found:

• Rubio failed to disclose $34,000 in expenses — including $7,000 he paid himself — for one of the committees in 2003 and 2004, as required by state law.

• One committee paid relatives nearly $14,000 for what was incorrectly described to the IRS as "courier fees" and listed a nonexistent address for one of them. Another committee paid $5,700 to his wife, who was listed as the treasurer, much of it for "gas and meals."

• He billed more than $51,000 in unidentified "travel expenses'' to three different credit cards — nearly one-quarter of the committee's entire haul. Charges are not required to be itemized, but other lawmakers detailed almost all of their committee expenses.

Rubio's spending continued in 2005 when the Republican Party of Florida handed him a credit card to use at his own discretion. While serving as House speaker in 2007 and 2008, he charged thousands of dollars in restaurant tabs to the state party at the same time taxpayers were subsidizing his meals in Tallahassee.

It seems that anyone that does not agree with the left is a hatemonger. It appears freedom of speech is only your freedom of speech.

I can disagree with you on social issues, and still care for you as a person.

Thats what Jesus is all about....LOVE. He loves us, but not some of the things that we do.

People come to Topix and choose a thread to post to because they feel strongly about the issue. Those that disagree with gay marriage generally are hateful. Of all those opposed to same-sex marriage equality, I have yet to see any of them provide a logical, legal, non-religious, reason for their position.

No one has told you that you cannot speak. But freedom of speech does not come with a free pass not to be disagreed with.

You have an odd way of 'caring'.

When Jesus tells me directly, then I will put credence in what he says. I don't trust your interpretation of what he supposedly said.
