Exclusive: Gay marriage foes suffer from fundraising shortfall

Foes of same-sex marriage are laboring to pay the tab for an epic legal case now before the U.S. Supreme Court, as the movement suffers from fundraising shortfalls that could sap its strength in future battles.

Thanks, Cal. Or is it Calvin? Or Callahan? Calhoun? Perhaps you're lying to us all! Or maybe a COWARD!! Gasps!!!
Are you kidding? "Barry" is an obvious shortening of "Barack", just as "Cal" is certainly short for something. This is pretty weak as conspiracy theories go. And does use of a middle name (like Hussein) REALLY count as "multiple" names? I have a middle name, too. And Soetoro is nothing but his stepfather's last name, Obama didn't use it.
Do you need the locations explained, too? He was Senator in Chicago, born in Hawaii, his stepfather was from Indonesia and his father was from Kenya. It isn't all that confusing, unless you WANT it to be, just so it sounds "sinister" or something.
I never said there was anyting "sinister". You did. I just pointed out the fact tat he has claimed multiple names and multiple origis over the years.

And my real name isn't "Cal". I chose that as a handl because I recently moved to Coolidge, Arizona, which IS named in honor of President [John] Calvin Coolidge.

I know you didn't use the word "sinister", that's why I added "or something". But you sure seemed highly suspicious. It seems like quite a stretch to worry about someone using a variation on their own first name, I'm sure only about 6 billion people do that. Nor is a middle name suspicious, nor a step-parent's name. Nor the city of service, state of birth, or the nation of birth of parent or step-parent.

Honestly, if you oppose Barack Obama, aren't there about a million BETTER things to pick at than which version of his NAME he uses? Most people jump on his health reform policies, gun control policies, immigration reform policies, economic policies, etc. It just seems silly to accuse him of cowardice or lying, simply because he might use his middle name occasionally.

If you're going to criticize the man, you should pick something of SUBSTANCE to focus on. Whether or not he occasionally goes by "Barry" is pretty low-hanging fruit. Should we go after a Republican candidate who might be trying to hide the name "Willard"? Or a president who goes by the mysterious initial "W"? Wouldn't I sound pretty ridiculous if I insisted that George Bush had something to HIDE with that letter?

Gee, I once heard of a guy who used multiple names like Barry, Barack, Barry Soetoro, Barry Hussein, Barack Obama, and others and at times variously claimed he was from Chicago, Hawaii, Indonesia, and Kenya. Why can't this guy just pick ONE name and stop being a lying coward ?!
I know a guy on this very board who went as Daniel P. from LI, Frank Stanton, Stan Franks, ABQ something-or-other, Tucson something-else, Cal in AZ, and who-can-possibly-remember what else. Why can't this guy pick just ONE name and stop being such a lying coward?

Too much Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh have rotted his brain. He sees them making millions of dollars talking foolishness, and he still hopes he'll find the gold.

Nobody seems to have noticed that the Cooper team billed 4.5 million dollars, while the Boies team billed only 1.5 million. Even with equal fund raising, that alone explains the shortfall.
The fact is that the equality opponents are eating more at the trough, and they would like a bigger trough. But a bigger trough will not help a losing case.
This is why they are pivoting their efforts onto downticket races and legislation.

I've never been to Queen City, nor Phoenix. I DO travel 60 miles south to Casas Adobes to attend church services, but that's about the extent of my travels since moving here. It's sposed 2b in the mid-70's here all week.:)

Great. Here too. BUT, there weren't any shoot outs in this area lately like right up the road from you.

Sadly, my sister in law was NOT gunned down. Well, I can dream.

I looked up the location of that shooting you are speaking of (2 persons killed.:(), and it's 55 miles northwest of me, and since I've never even been to Phoenix (and don't ever plan to go there), it's really NOT "in my area" any more so than Greenwich Village was "in my area", when I lived 45 miles east of it in Commack at the age of 12 years old.
