The complaint was obviously bogus. Since it was extra credit, it was voluntary.

Furthermore, she wasn't telling the students what to think at all, merely conduct an experiment.

This is akin to asking the students to wear a Star of David, and to write about the reactions and any discrimination they face because of doing so.

And IF they were asked to wear a Star Of David, would those same students make the same claim that doing so would violate their religious beliefs ? And IF it would, then don't volunteer for the extra credit assignment.

This is NOT rocket science.

Has anyone else noticed that the Alliance Defending Freedom seems to lose cases left and right? I don't recall them winning any cases lately- or at all.

I'm curious as to who it is that keeps pouring all this money into their group and others like them. I assume they're millionaires.

And I wonder what it is that they get out of all of these [losing] cases.

They're creating fodder to dish out to their sheep about "activist judges" and the "persecution of religion". For this purpose, losing cases are better than winning cases.

The 'morons r'us' at the 'alliance defending freedom' actually validated the experiment by providing the predicted reaction

The ADF is the brainchild of some of the biggest conservative Christian groups in the country. They're supported by the American Family Association, Focus on the Family, Coral Ridge Ministries and maybe another 30 groups. While they are on a current losing streak, they have been successful in the past, they were the Boy Scouts lawyers in the Dale case and for the Good News Club, the case that opened up schools to religious groups and by extension, gay groups.

Both cases you cite are very old cases, so apparently they haven't won a case in many years. The Dale case is now moot since the BSA changed their policy, and the Good News Club decision was really a win for us.

And you didn't answer the question as to WHOM the individuals are who are financially supporting all of these losing cases.

That's nice...did you send one post-it with $25K written on it or 25 post-its with $1K written on each?
