Reminds me of Mayor Sophie of Pittsburgh. She was 77 when she was elected. But that was three decades ago.

The greatest bigot being a homosexual. Synonymous as zealot or fanatic.
This is exactly why our govt and tax code needs to be abolished. When they start cherry picking favorites and micro managing everyones lives then you know the end is near. Get rid of them. All of them!
Health crisis to a marriage crisis to a parenting crisis to a education crisis to a media crisis to a bank crisis. It goes on and on and on, Heaven and Hell.

The tax code creates more welfare, higher taxes, more spending, more greed, more regulation, less rights, less jobs.
Take away the bread and the pigeons become independent, go away, and fend for themselves. That is NOT what liberals wants. They want pigeons to be dependent on them, controlled, in the pen, and fearful of their master. Power and less independence.

Abolish the tax code and end subersive decadent supporting liberals.

You have a very twisted notion of what " the truth " is.. It would be just as bad if this woman were called senile without provocation , just because of her age .. She may be have been the town's mayor and she may indeed be old , but her attitude proves much of her life has been wasted ; she has profited very little from its length if she thinks she can go around being offensive to others just because she damn pleases.. And your approving attitude shows both you and her as two of a kind..

" regressive liberal " is a contradiction .. Must you people go on degrading your own language?( not to mention your rapidly degrading minds..).

Using the claim "I'm old fashioned" is as ridiculous as using one's religion to justify religious discrimination. Once again a relic from the past wants to be able to return to the days of Jim Crow laws and lynchings.

This woman is living proof that wisdom doesn't always come with age.

"accusations that she repeatedly called a gay police officer queer in front of his colleagues"

I thought gays didn't mind being called queer? I mean they are queers aren't they? How is one supposed to know what to call them?

Since the simple answer eludes you, I'll help you out here. In this case, a police officer should be properly addressed as "Sir" or "Officer Calendine". Call me old fashioned but that was how I was raised to refer to a policeman.

The Mayor of Mississauga, Ontario has been mayor since that city was created and is now in her 90's. But she is sharp as a tack, if not above some questionable political dealings benefitting her son's business!

Call me old fashioned but speaking respectfully to and about a police officer is a traditional family value.

You might try asking a person's NAME.
