Gays would no more join a religion than Jews would join the Nazi party.

Being affiliated or unaffiliated with a religious organization is not directly related to one's personal spiritual journey. Religiosity and spirituality are completely separate subjects and are not to be confused.

The only reason we shy away from religion is because we want to live in a world based on truth and facts, not stone-age fantasies about an imaginary man in an invisible sky fortress manipulating every detail of our lives.

What a strange breed to follow such drivel!

Interesting that you support religion and claim those who don't are "born liars". Your delusions are showing for all to see.

This article in "The Edge" doesn't accurately represent the Pew Research survey results.

According to The Edge report, "48 percent of all LGBT adults surveyed said they are atheists."

According to the Pew report, "About half of LGBT respondents describe themselves as atheist, agnostic or having no particular religion (48%)".

According to Pew, only 17%, not 48%, said they are atheist. While that's certainly a big difference from surveys of the general public (which includes LGBT people) where only 6% claim to be atheist, it's not accurate to include agnostic and unaffiliated as being the same as atheist.

You mean the fantasy that homosexuals are normal?? You all are born liars. You'd rather lie than tell the truth, anytime.
Like you're doing by not telling your friends you go to gay websites? Guess you can't expect much in the way of smarts from a toothless West Virginia hillbilly.

That's different than flat out lying like you Queers do. You all can't except the truth as it is. You have to twist, deny, lie or manipulate just to keep from admitting the truth. You all take up for one another whether they're right or whether they're wrong. That's just the way you all are.
Um, MY remarks were meant for someone from 'Huntington, WV', NOT you, why are YOU answering for him?

gee, one would THINK that..well, you know.

Hardly.

But it stills seems that many/most religious denominations are hell-bent on chasing gay folks away from God.

It doesn't take a survey to show that they are often very successful.

Can't you do anything else other than make false generalizations and call people silly names?

You CANNOT have morals or decency AND be gay. Those things are mutually exclusive.

One cannot have intelligence and the power of reason and condemn people solely for sexual orientation. Those are mutually exclusive.

It's normal for me. That's all I can say. And, moreover, it's the truth about MY life. You can have your own opinions, but you can't have your own facts. Homeosexuality is observed in EVERY mammal, marsupial, bird and lizard species on the planet. It IS a normal variant on human sexuality, which you seem to have deliberately chosen to NOT educate yourself on the truths about.

Your world is so small, it would seem, that I'm surprised the Internet can find its way in.

Whatever fantasies you have of normal, I'm glad to not be included.

Yeah yeah all you freaks think you're normal. To hear you talk, your 3-6% of the population that's gay is normal and the other 94-97% that's straight, is abnormal. Are you for real? Homosexuality could be called a lot of things, but normal is not one of them.
Wow! You sure have a talent for screwing up words to make them mean something altogether different from what the speaker said!

I NEVER said heterosexuality is not normal. What I was saying is that homeosexuality shows up in EVERY species of life on this planet and THAT MAKES IT A NORMAL EXPRESSION OF BEHAVIOR!

You don't understand it, that's fine. I have NO CLUE why ANY man finds women attractive, but I know they do, and I don't spend my life wasting my energies trying to interfere with their lives. I'm too busy living my own.

Perhaps you should spend some time actually LIVING your life, instead of trying to attack people, against whom you are obviously ill-equipped to do battle.
