One thing you should no about this site, if someone admits in a post to committing a criminal act, Topix is more than happy to forward that information to the poster's nearest legal authority. All someone has to do is to remind them of their legal obligation to do so.
A poster to this thread has admitted to committing a violent, unprovoked assault with intent to do serious injury, a crime seemingly motivated by a very serious problem that they have with people who aren't heterosexual. There is no justification for those actions in the eyes of the law, the individual was not defending themselves, they had not been physically assaulted in any manner and the dubious claim that they were being menaced came only after the story that it was an unprovoked assault. The statute of limitations on assault is one year, but since the violence was motivated by the poster's irrational hate, that ups the ante to seven years under federal law. The person in question now knows what they have to do before it is done for them.
