I don't care if he was gay or not. He was a very competent mayor.

IFFF he was closeted (I take him at his word), and I mean IFFF ... it is important to know the times, and to concede that sometimes, and in some place, and in some situations, more can be accomplished if you don't try to do it with your hair on fire. THOSE times especially.
