There are 66 comments on the EDGE story from Jul 8, 2014, titled Gays Better Off Dead? 'Christian' Activist Says So. In it, EDGE reports that:

Intolerance hit a new low last week in the form of an opinion piece and social media post by a former high school football coach and self-proclaimed "Christian activist," who after attending a gay Pride parade in Missouri, stated that gay adults are better off dead and that God hates both the sin and the sinner.

I think Jesus WOULD go to a homosexual pride parade, and he would address the people there just as he addressed sinners all over the place in his life time. Maybe he would even cast out a few demons if the victims were willing.

These so called "Christian" activists have helped move along marriage equality every time one of them opens his or her looney mouths! Gotta love it!

Just another crazy loon trying to milk religion for his personal glory and profit. Someone should tell him that Betty "I'm American's Best Christian and Jesus Told Me to Hate You" Bowers is supposed to be a parody, not a role model.

"Very few Christians, especially under the age of 30, think that homosexuality is a sin, or they believe that all sins are the same. If all sins were the same, why are there different penalties for more egregious sins? Why is murder a death penalty but lying ignored? If all sins were the same shouldnÂ’t all liars get the death penalty?"

Leaving aside an analysis of those idiotic remarks, by this mullah's "reasoning" those who unrepentantly covet would get the death penalty.

There's nothing to buttress this freeek's homosexual fixation in the _Commandments_.

But his comments about most Christians under the age of 30 are assuredly the Good News.

I can't agree. We would be better off with them turning their lives over to God and seeking salvation. I can't wish any of them dead. I'm pretty sure what happens to unrepentent dead gays, and it is a pretty awful thing - eternity without God and whatever else God decides they should have.. We'd be better off with all of them saved. THEY would be better off with all them saved.

You're a divorced bigot who never obsessed about any other "sin" and who ignores half the headlining Commandments.

That's why young Christians don't follow in your homophobic footsteps.

Why don't you go beseech those young Christians to take up the mantle of homophobic hate as much as you hypocritically argue for lgbt people to hate themselves via jaysus?

Because you're merely sexually ill. None of this has to do with any coherent religious belief or scripture. Otherwise you'd be similarly obsessed about coveting. You filth aren't.

God loves gays the way they are. According to the Bible intolerant Christians need to repent, mind their own business, and quit judging others.

Hey you know what? You don't have to agree with me. I'm not gay, therefore I respect your views and your opinions and I will not force you to agree with me. I don't feel you are a hater, an idiot, have a low IQ or live in a trailer just because you happen to have a different viewpoint than I do. It's s shame that in America today, those of us who disagree with homosexuality aren't extended the same freedom of expression.
I agree with this. I have been called many nasty things by gays who disagree with me. They seem to have this strange belief that that somehow hurts me. That "live in a trailer" is a real puzzling one. I know gays who live in a trailer. I don't know why gays who don't live in a trailer hate all people who live in trailers. Very strange. I'm not saying what I did to to argue with you. I just don't want gays to think that all people who disagree with the notion of "gay marriage" wish that all gays were dead. I truly don't want them dead. I want them to seek salvation. Can you imagine what a powerful message that would send to these crazy young kids who want to experiment with homosexual behavior? So much good could be done by gays who are redeemed.

I also know that if you keep the vitriol to a minimum, you give them less ammunition. It seems to work with all but that insane Philly poster who goes off on spitting rants regularly and doesn't listen to reason. Just watch.

There's no such thing as a God or a life after death.. these beliefs are a left-over from paganism, the invention of people who are scared of dying or have oversized egos .. and, ultimately, of those who have made a hobby of Ignorance ..

Anyone who "disagrees" with a harmless natural trait in others has issues, and should be marginalized.

It's not like being gay is chosen, changeable, or harmful in any way.

So, marriage will prevent a person from reaching salvation, but only if God chose to make them only attracted to the same gender?

You can't believe that teaching this to kids is healthy. Good grief. What a terrible and unhealthy message. And, really, the ONLY way to do that is to teach ALL children to shun marriage, because when you go around promoting it, the gay kids are listening, too.

And don't worry. Most people who aren't attracted to the same gender don't choose to "experiment" with having sex with people they can't be attracted to. No one chooses to be gay.

I have no clue what you are talking about. Marriage does not prevent a person from reaching salvation. You are putting the cart before the horse. Aren't you guys always saying that lots of people are "bi?" I think a lot of people can choose, and a lot of the people doing the choosing are already in a state of rebellion, so naturally they will choose something that is anti-Christian, especially impressionable rebellious kids who have an ax to grind with their strict parents. No better way to make an statement of independence like choosing a lifestyle that mom and dad find horrifying.

I knew it wouldn't be long before your bullshit would really crank in. Your bigotry can't ever resist your bullshit. Like two peas in a pod, you can make soup. Sorry for being mean to real soups.

And some of us think that the world would be way better off if all the "religious activists" were dead, so we're even, huh?

But the difference is that the gays can give long lists of examples of the pain and suffering and damage that have been cause in the world by "religious activists", while the "religious activists" cannot do the same with the gays.

That's because you aren't satisfied with simply "disagreeing" with the gays. You need to pass laws that force your religion onto them and punish and harm them for not believing the same delusional cramp that you do.

But you can't say the same for the gays, can you? They aren't attacking you. They're not trying to pass laws that punish and disenfranchise you and take away your civil rights.

If your type would be respectful and satisfied with letting other people live their own lives, there wouldn't be a problem. But you can't do that, can you? You have to force your personal lifestyle choice onto everyone else. That's the problem, not anything the gays are doing.
