Jan 22, 2013 Full story: www.proudparenting.com 13
President Obama made bold history in his inaugural address by speaking about "our gay brothers and sisters". This is the first time the word "gay" and the issue of gay rights has been included in a speech at the presidential swearing in. Full Story

You can have him. I don't want him as a "friend." As a matter of fact, it is very fitting that you hook up with him. When he goes down eventually, you'll go with him.

I'd venture to guess, SniKKKers, that the President of the United States will suffer no loss from lacking your friendship. You, on the other hand, are going to have four more years of the misery and suffering you so richly deserve.

He's a Marxist. Everyone knows that. I just hope congress has the balls to impeach him.

Obama squandered his first term by concentrating on winning his second term.

You've been hoping for this for four years...get used to him, nothing is going to happen, except he end his term in honor and affection from the country. Except you.

Prove it. Use verifiable and REAL news sources. Whirlednutsdaily, the sludge report and faux shnews do not count as REAL.

He has repeatedly demonstrated that he doesn't know what a Marxist is. If you send him searching for credible sources, think how disillusioned he'll be when he finds out it has nothing to do with Groucho or Harpo.

Hmm... Results, that is what matters. At least he's done with all the who-ha about bipartisanship and change happening in increments. I'd rather this had been his position in his first term, but much is forgiven for announcing his support for marriage equality ahead of the election. Regardless, I can't forget how the LGBT community was pushed aside for the first 3+ years of his first term for political reasons. There was a small window of an opportunity for Obama and Democrats to make a real sweeping positive change in the life of millions of people and he abandoned it along with his principals in pushing for health care reform that proved neither congruous with his original position, nor effective from an objective standpoint. As 2014 is ahead, I worry about the fallout when everybody realizes insurance companies stand the best chance to benefit and the average Joe gets f'ed with I lube. I already paid more with health insurance for a visit to the doctor because of the flu than I have ever paid in my life for such a visit out of pocket because I did not have insurance years ago.

So what? He still finished his term and left with high ratings and is more popular today than he was in his presidency days. Your odd ball referrals to long forgotten news is laughable.

CHANGE? RU NUTS? CHANGE!
Those who watched Frontline's special on why nobody has been prosecuted on Wall Street titled appropriately "The Untouchables" didn't learn much new. The rehash of ideas presented is what has been well known for years - namely that when it comes to prosecuting Wall Street criminals nothing will ever happen, because as Bill Gross tweeted " Its not Republican in politics. Its not Dem in politics. Its money in politics" and all the money in politics comes from Wall Street, which happens to be the ultimate ruler of the United States of America, pushing levers here and pulling stringer there to give the impression the constitutional republic is still alive. It isn't - this country has become an unchecked despotism of those in charge of money creation and who control capital - just the thing Andrew Jackson warned against. One thing we did learn, was courtesy of Assistant Attorney General Lenny Breuer who made it very clear that when it comes to the concept of justice the banks are and always have been "more equal" than others. He does so in such shocking clarity and enthusiasm that it is a miracle that this person is still employed by the US Department of Justice...
err... Well I agree, but let's not get peanuts over the narrow topic of discussion I brought up. In short, the president had a big opportunity to right a lot of wrongs in his first two years before the house Republicans took over, and the reform that passed deviated substantially from the original vision. Actually, I decided to vote for Obama the first election because I did not like the health care ideas Hillary Clinton was pushing. Instead of Obama's idea gaining ground, Clinton's practically did. I consider it a travesty that everyone will soon be required to get health insurance or pay a fine. The insurance companies are probably licking their chops right now in gleeful anticipation of the day that new law goes into effect. The only thing good that came out of the health care debacle was the ethics reform. Otherwise, it just serves to line the pockets of the insurance companies with more dollars.

I say this because it's already happening:

2004 doctor bill for flu (no insurance):$75

2013 doctor bill for flu (with insurance co-pays):$150

Something is not right about that...
